Hostel Blues, Bratislava, Slovakia
7.7
25th Jun 2013

Hostel blues was good. Not amazing, but a good hostel with a fairly good location, and from what we've heard one of the better hostels in Bratislava. Lack of power points in the rooms, and a kitchen that always seemed to be messy and dirty (maybe an inescapable fact due to the large numbers of people using it) were issues for us. There's no breakfast but there's a big supermarket just next door.

Absolutely fantastic! Lily is such a friendly host, and the apartment (it truly is an apartment, not very much like a hostel at all) is amazing - fully equipped kitchen with stuff like pasta and rice and corn flakes, big spacious lounge room, free laundry facilities, and comfy bedrooms. Cannot recommend this highly enough, and would have stayed longer if I could have.

Pretty much the best hostel ever! Amazingly friendly staff, beautiful location, and just wait til you see what you get for breakfast when Daniela's cooking! The perfect place to get away from cities for a while.

Greg & Tom Hostel, Krakow, Poland
9.1
17th Jun 2013

Greg and Tom have three hostels in Krakow, and this one's called 'Home' for a good reason! Very friendly staff, free breakfast AND dinner so it's really easy to meet other people, and literally across the road from the train and bus station. The rooms do get a bit hot in summer, and for my floor there was only one showers between 12 of us so avoid peak bathroom times! Otherwise a great hostel

Most friendly staff I've ever encountered! Excellent location, literally steps away from the Blue Mosque, and you have an amazing view of Aya Sofya from the rooftop bar! Only slight drawback is the number of bathrooms - there's one toilet and one shower for each level and I can image this might get a bit irritating!

The Fort Boutique Hostel, York, England

Fantastic new building with brand new kitchen and rooms! More like a hotel than a hostel really - the ensuite bathroom in my room had heated towel racks! Only things that could be improved are the number of powerpoints in rooms, and I'm not sure I saw a fridge in the big kitchen (there was a tiny one in the other kitchen, but I'm not sure it'd fit much!). Absolutely perfect for a short stay though!

Hi Ellen you are right, the new part is fantastic!! Sorry you missed the fridge, it's on of those intergrated ones. The new 8 bed dorms have a socket and reading light at each bed to improve the guest experience. Thanks for your comments as they are a great way of letting us know what more we could offer. Hope to see you in the future.

Fantastic location, just down the road from the train station and right in the centre of Bath. Small lockers in room available to store valuables in, enough powerpoints for everyone to charge phones and cameras, good kitchen...overall a good quality hostel.

Amazing location, and super-friendly staff! Only downside was that the kitchen is an industrial kitchen but is not very well equipped and a bit tricky to use.

Awesome hostel, ridiculously friendly staff, a well-equipped and easy to use kitchen (and free breakfast!), good bathrooms, and overall a very nice place to stay! They were completely full when we stayed there (St Pat's weekend) but they managed really well.
