We stayed in a shed. It was a very nice, cheap, calm little shed, but still a shed. Excellent price (especially compared to paying full price for a hostel), 30 mins from Venice, convenient little market there, quiet, staff spoke English, the showers and toilets were nice and clean. Fresh air.

The neighborhood was overwhelming/ sketchy -seeming. However, it's pretty manageable once you get used to it and I felt safe while in the hotel. Staff were friendly and gave us free tea, but seemed a bit scattered and weren't much help with information about what to do in Casa. Hotel is BEAUTIFUL and has great free breakfasts. Showers have no shower curtain so bathroom gets soaked. Not Euro-American hotel standards of clean but okay. No wifi, went to cheap internet cafe across street.

This hostel was really nice! It's literally right next to the Plaza de la Virgen, has a free walking tour every day, free sheets, free internet/ wifi, and a free breakfast. The staff were a little reserved and the atmosphere/ community of the hostel was rather poor but the facilities were awesome and the staff completely took care of us.

We HAD to pay for sheets? Really? Other than that, this hostel was amazing. Great staff (above and beyond helpful, friendly, etc) and great facilities (internet, showers, etc). I would absolutely recommend this particular hostel. Great value for the amount we paid.
