Fairman House was excellent. The owners were so friendly and made sure our stay was enjoyable. Great kitchen, good common room, comfy beds and a cosy stay. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a break from the typical hostel and a bit more privacy.
Disappointing kitchen and bathroom facilities were limited, only two for the entire hostel which was not good enough.
Comfiest beds I slept in my entire trip. Cheapest hostel for London and although it is cramped and the bathrooms are below average it is good value for money.
Bed Bugs and they were really rude like it was my fault.
I got really bad bed bugs here and so did many other tents. Although they gave me my entire stay for free, it seemed like a usual occurence and they were people in my tent straight away once I moved out and they got them too.
In walking distance to most of the sites and if not it is a 5 min walk to the train station. The hostel was clean, beds were comfy and there were plenty of cool places to eat and drink in the surrounding area.
In an excellent location, for those interested very close to the red light district. But thats about it, probably one of the cheapest hostels we could find, but it shows. Huge rooms with 20 people, I could feel every bar on my bed as I was sleeping and the toilets, common room, reception and showers are all in the same room
Enjoyed the old countryhouse look of the hostel, made me feel right at home. And I am a big fan of curtains for privacy on the bed. But there was no kitchen and there was a really yucky smell in our part of the hostel and I would of liked to of been a bit closer to the centre of town.
Basically when we arrived the owner gave us a whole spill about how we shouldn't make eye contact with people around the area, so I wouldn't rate the suburb it is in. Other than that Paris is really expensive and this was the cheapest option, it was a bed to sleep and the train station was literally across the road, so we only had to run 50m and then we were home safe, which is not their fault.
Good, cheap hostel in Paris. We are going back to Paris again and we will be staying at St.Christophers.
Amazing location right in the heart of the old town. But thats it, the beds were falling apart, the kitchen was gross, the bathroom was full of mould and only one of the toilets had a toilet seat.
One of the best hostel we have stayed at, it is a small hostel but that is what makes it great. So clean, comfiest beds and the staff were so friendly. Also a great way to meet people and get to know them.
For the price it was excellent. The showers were a bit dodgy but apart from that the location was great, the atmosphere was good and it was definitely a great stay.
