Overall my stay here was good, but there were two things that hurt my experience. The first was a language barrier--it was difficult to converse with the front desk personnel--who i should be able to to for anything. Second was the fact that there was no suitcase room and no advertised check-in time. THUS, I arrived at noon with no where to put my bags except to BUY a locker for two hours, after, mind you, paying for my reservation. Most hostels have a place for luggage and do not charge.

Thank you for your response! We are a bit suprised about the language barrier, all our staff can converse in English and most of them in at least two other languages next to English and Dutch. If you could contact us about what happend, we would apreciate that. stadsdoelen@stayokay.com The rooms are available after 2PM, before that time you can rent a locker for 0,20 cents per hour. We ask our guests to pay the reservation up on arrival, this is easier for our guests since we don't always see them with checking-out. We are sorry to hear how that came across to you. We look forward of hearing from you. Kind Regards, Stayokay Stadsdoelen team

Everything was great except the customer service. I had booked a reservation at Old Prague Hostel and was under the impression that, having booked a bed there, I would be with my friends (you would think, right?). Well when I got there, I was told I would be the only one of my group that would be staying at a "sister" hostel a few streets away--so inconvenient. The man at the front desk gave me attitude about my dissatisfaction, even though it was the HOSTEL's fault.

Hello, thank you for your booking with us. We are very sorry for the problems with your booking. There was an emergency problem with one of our rooms and due to being full during that period, the booking was transferred to our sister hostel, only a few minutes walk away from Old Prague Hostel, with the same facilities, top location, etc. However, please remember that our nightshift receptionist offered you an extra bed in the room with your friends, so you did end up staying in the hostel which you had originally booked. We are sorry again for the inconveniences. OPH Manager
