Tangier Melting Pot Hostel

Tangier, Morocco

Great location, great atmosphere. Hostel has a lot of character. Some of the doors to the rooms were non traditional (like folding doors), so they weren't locked or shut most of the time. There also wasn't somebody who sat at the front desk 24/7. Otherwise I felt pretty safe, the staff were helpful, and the hostel was clean. The free breakfast was great to have included.

I think for what you pay in a large city in Japan, this is a good hostel. For westerners it might be a bit uncomfortable, as the dorm style beds are all very close together as they are right in a row on the floor (there are boards on either side of your head for some privacy), and there are only squat toilets. My friends who were with me in a private room had tons of space though and stayed in a bunk bed. The lobby, bathrooms, and showers were pretty cold in February. I'd stay here again though
