Flying Pig Uptown

Very secure, had to use key card to enter the building. Located directly beside Vondelpark which is lovely and close to the bus station and tram stops! The atmosphere was great, always people in the bar and smoking room. Staff were super friendly and always happy to help! Rooms were cleaned daily! Free breakfast was also a plus, especially if youre a budget backpacker! Seemed to be a lack of plugs in our dorm and you had to pay for locks and towels!

We were upgraded due to the hotel overbooking which we believed was a bonus, however the room had many faults: leaking shower, broken hair dryer, exposed plugs & even a hole in the door big enough for people to see in the room. Communal toilets were not clean and the room also did not have air-con which was definitely required mid-July! The hostel was not as central as we wished but was close to tram stops. Despite its faults, it was good value for money.

Pension Alpha

The staff were rude, unwelcoming or definitely not 'happy to help'! We were put in a back building of the hotel which was not very secure. The hotel was also in quite a daunting area of Frankfurt, surrounded by many beggars, however it was conveniently close to the train station. The free breakfast was also a plus, although nothing to get excited about.

Very secure and safe, needed a card key to get through most doors in the hostel! The area around the hostel isn't the most thrilling and was quite daunting on first impression but it was conveniently close to the train station! The dorm had everything we needed (minus towels). Great atmosphere and met some great people!

Krakow Backpackers Hostel

Loved this hostel so much! We plan to stay again when we visit Poland in future! The staff were extremely helpful (recommending places to eat/drink and they also organised our trip to Aushwitz). The hostel and staff were very relaxed and was situated in a lovely part of Krakow, not too far from the train station and very close to bars and restaurants. The Struggled to work the shower and get hot water but the staff were happy to help as per usual! Sad we didn't stay longer!

Hostel Happy Seven Gdynia

Good value hostel in a very nice part of Poland, close to many restaurants and bars as well as the train station! Facilities were good - kitchen, internet, many showers etc. However, slightly off putting after we were woke at 6am by the couple in our dorm - they were staying in a bed with BED BUGS!
