Casa Consell

Barcelona, Spain

This is one of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in, and it was also our cheapest option in Barcelona!! Perfect neighborhood and great for backpackers and families alike!

Albergue Studio Hostel

Barcelona, Spain

It's pretty far outside the center of town in a sleepy neighborhood. It's great if that is what you are looking for, just know it will be a metro ride and a walk to get to anywhere in town (even just for a meal).

B&B Eurohome

Florence, Italy

We had a flight to catch on our last day and the owner said the best way to get there was to take a taxi, which would be €35-40. So he called the one taxi driver in Signa for is so that it would be cheaper (it would have been double to get a driver from Florence). So we have the taxi set up then the taxi driver gets a flat tire. SO HE DRIVES US HIMSELF! So nice. The location is a bit out of the way (15 min walk to the train station) but truly not bad unless you have your luggage. Great value!

Sorrento, Italy

Its fine if you are backpacking on a budget and this is the cheapest option (don't expect a social atmosphere). If you can afford nicer, I would recommend that. This place is a decent walk from the train station (where you get the bus to positano/amalfi). It's pretty secluded and surrounded only by other (nicer) hotels and is a bit of a walk to the closest restaurant (side note: the closest restaurant is delicious, the restaurant/bar past it on the corner is not).

This place was the best part of Naples! It's a very social hostel with cute facilities and a kitchen.
