Loki del Mar

Mancora, Peru

Had a great time here, the pool was great and right next to the beach. No chance of sleep so either join them or stay somewhere else. Ok food Paella and Tuna, but loads of great places to eat outside of loki. You must leave at some point no one does and its a shame. Bathrooms can get a bit stinky. Staff are fun but pissed most of the time and when you run a tab you get stung at the end and you don´t even no if they are managing to do their job. Busy chatting and drinking than serving.

Marcilia Beach Bungalows

We loved it here, its pretty much got its own private beach. The food served in the restaurant is good too. Little drive from Mancora about 25 minutes in a taxi and its bumpy, but if you need to get away for a few days its a bargain. Great bathrooms and its a 2 minute walk to the beach. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the one in cusco so had high hopes. They were not met, kitchen is tiny with hardly anything to cook with, staff in the bar area are bad... busy talking than to get your food or take your orders. Showers were not hot and when told they didn´t do anything. Its a great location, no where near as party as they make out. Just ok nothing out of the ordinary.

Good hostel, the best of the bunch. No kitchen but the food is pretty good. Rooms are tiny with no lockers but you can lock the door. Try and get a room with a bathroom or you´ll be showering outside which is fine but the water is cold! We wanted to extend our stay and were told this is fine and then the next day it wasn´t so we had to move. Came back to collect our things and there was a room available. There were a few of us there and it happened to everyone. No organisation.

Loved it here. Such a cool building and lots going on. Good food in the bar and a good kitchen if you want to cook your own. Close to everything. Mega comfy beds and loads of bathrooms. If you´re going to lima, and stay at Pariwana don´t get your hopes up, this one is the best by a long way.

This place was great, felt like you were in a big house of your own. We got stuck in Sucre for 3 days with bus strikes and he was full and let us stay on a matress. Such a great guy, close enough to everything. Recommended!!

This hostel is more like a hotel, right on the strip in bella vista. The beds are out of this world, more like a queen than a pokey single bed. Close to everything you want to get to, breakfast is ok... roof terrace is amazing, great for chilling and hanging with a hangover. Showers are great too. Totally recommend for a bit of a treat.

We loved it here, the guys looked after us so well, we felt like we were at home. The guys who run is are awesome and are guides on the w trek so can help you with all the info you need. The hostel is tiny but the kitchen and bathrooms are amazing along with the facilities. Totally recommend this place but book quick as they tend to fill up. We loved it.

America del Sur Hostel

We stayed here because we stayed in the one in BA and loved it. Although we weren't expecting the same standard we were disappointed with the hostel. The overall hostel is wicked, the rooms are great and are always clean. The kitchen is grim, even though they say its cleaned everyday, dead flies everywhere and hardly any equipment to cook with. The communal area is cool and the views are incredible and the staff are great.

It gets better reviews than it should. Overall its comfortable and the showers are good. You get charged a tax so don't be fooled by your hostelworld amount to pay, not their fault but the owner is shifty and didn't explain to us why we had to pay. Great for starting fitz roy. Other hostels would be better.

Lovely little hostel. Warm and inviting. Great value for money. Location is great and think people are put off as they don't understand the logistics of Bariloche. The town is cool but everything you want to do there is out of town. We loved it there wish we'd stayed longer.

This hostel should be amazing, so much potential. The staff bar one lady are shocking!! Disinterested or too busy (chatting to some guy) to buzz you in leaving you standing outside! Not much to say, i wouldn't bother!

Absolutely loved it here.... the staff are amazing!! Great common area so great to meet people, we were lucky that every one was sound when we stayed. If you want a drink there is no shortage of people willing to join. The only down point is the kitchen is very small so don't try and cook a culinary delight other than that totally recommended. Always try and get the downstairs shower, probably the best shower i have ever had in my life!!

Arraial do Cabo Central Hostel

Arraial do Cabo, Brazil

From the off we didn't feel welcome by the guy at reception who seemed like he had better things to be doing. The first night there was no water which after a 22 hour bus journey was an inconvenience to say the least. Same on the third night. Our room was a private double. The room itself was fine however the bed sheets and bed itself were damp. It did have a great view though. The kitchen is decent but very dirty as nobody is the hostel washed up their stuff. Location Great. Zero atmosphere
