Room was quite small for 6 beds & very noisy when anyone went up or down the stairs outside. Ensuite small but clean and functional, however there were few bathroom facilities outside the ensuite. Kitchen was small and quite basic, and not very clean. Staff were lovely and helpful, though occasionally overwhelmed by the people coming and going, as they have to buzz everyone in twice - once at the front door and once into the entry way, because you have to hand your keys in every time you leave.
Lovely and clean with plenty of space in the room and a well-maintained ensuite. Beds were comfy and it was quiet inside the room, despite the hostel being well-occupied for May Day weekend. Very large kitchen with multiple stoves/ovens/microwaves and lots of fridge and cupboard space. Nice little relaxation areas. Staff were very helpful. Location is close to the centre of town but just far enough away that it's not noisy.
This hostel feels really big, like a hotel. It's nice and clean. The room I was in was a bit stuffy. There's a cafe and bar instead of a kitchen, so you can't store/cook food if that's what you like. The staff were REALLY helpful when I asked to change rooms because I was uncomfortable with one of the other guests. Big lock boxes for your stuff in the rooms, but no locks - I didn't need one so I'm not sure if you have to buy one or if they are supplied on request.
The room I was in was very large. The building was a bit older but everything was clean and well-maintained. Staff were nice and friendly .The kitchen wasn't huge but it was very quiet during my mid-week stay so that wasn't a problem for me. Location is a bit out of town (walking distance to the centre of Belfast, but probably about 15-20 minutes), however it's very close the the university and a lively strip of cafes, shops and pubs, which was nice.
Treated myself to a single room. It was very basic but clean. The walls were quite thin and there was some road noise but not enough to bother me.
Very small, privately run hostel. Friendly and quiet. A nice place to meet people but also get some sleep. Bathrooms are kept nice and clean. Fresh bread every morning!
Very clean, showers are very good and the kitchen was nice and big. Some rooms seem to let in a lot of noise though. Very close to Kings Cross Station, which is very handy.
The room was incredibly hot with no way to control the temperature, except to open the window. Even with the window closed the noise from the road was horrific all night (literally). The showers shot straight over my head and weren't terribly clean. A few times a day the bathroom would leak a large puddle would form directly outside the dorm door. It's also in a rough area of town, a ten minute walk from the tube, which was daunting for a woman alone. The staff were really lovely though.
A bit out of the way but the metro connects fairly easily to just about everything. Staff were very nice and helpful. The dorm was small but clean - not much space for luggage. Ensuite was a bit run-down and mouldy but the facilities were functional/adequate. Would stay again.
