Petra Nera Hotel

Santorini, Greece

Very nice hotel, close to the beach and many nice restaurants. Side-to-side with a bus station that has buses to Fira and Oia. The hotel offers a great trip through the main attractions of Santorini and has a transport service to the airport at a fair price.

This is actually a very nice hotel at a hostel price. Though the neighborhood around it is dirty, very urban, it is very close to the Acropolis, the flea market, two metro stations and many nice cheap restaurants. Staff is very helpful, the rooms are colorful and very nice.

Very well located, close to the Blue Mosque and many restaurants. The staff is very helpful and they offer an airport transfer service that helped us a lot, since we arrived in the middle of the night. The breakfast is also very nice. As there are only two bathrooms per floor (one for men, one for women), it got very crowded in the morning, when everybody wants to brush their teeth, etc. There's no air conditioning and the rooms are quite hot, though there are ventilators.

The hostel is a bit far from the city center, but is close to a metro station (though it is uphill from the station to the hostel). Some of the staff was not very informed when asked for directions on certain attractions, but others were very helpful. Breakfast is very nice.

Guesthouse Babel

The staff was very nice and helpful. It is located close to a main road of the city and by a metro station. Being a guesthouse, they didn't have a map to offer or many tourist tips. There is only one bathroom to serve a few rooms (I guess around 5 at least), but my room had a shower in it.

The River Hostel

Very well located, close to a bus station that has buses to the beach and the City of arts and sciences. My only complaint would be that they have matressess covered in a rubber-like material that makes some noise when people move, so if you have a hard time with noise, that can be quite bad. Bathrooms are OK, showers are good, guests can use the kitchen and fridge, which is also nice.

Very nice for its price, a little far from the center, but close to some nice restaurants. Big room and bathroom. The curtains are not very good, if light in the morning bothers you, mind that.
