Hostel Miran

Mostar, Bosnia And Herzegovina

Miran is a really nice guy, picked us up from the trainstation, welcomed us with some drinks and nice storys. During our short stay he has always been helpful and hospitable to us. Short stroll from city centre and really close to busstation.

Haris Youth Hostel

Sarajevo, Bosnia And Herzegovina

A steep climb uphill from the city center. Furthermore, it was all quite basic, clean but not spotless, some facilities available, but not too much. Best features are the view from the outdoor terrace (too bad it was 10 degrees when i was there) and the really helpful girl working there.

Hostel Orange

Prague, Czech Republic

Best location ever!

Backpackers BCN

Barcelona, Spain

Only stayed there for a night, but it was ok. Easy to reach by public transport, and a nice and clean hostel.

Vegas Hostel

Bratislava, Slovakia

Took a long time to check in, just because there was a group of 6 before me. Dorm was ok and quite spacey, location is good aswell. It's okay to stay here, but the city is quite boring and people in the city are rather unfriendly.

Sokolska Youth Hostel

Prague, Czech Republic

Just stayed there for 1 night, dumped my stuff, went to the city, came back to sleep and left. Seemed quite ok. Nice location, really close to I.P Pavlova (red metro line, connected to both main trainstations), but if you're unlucky you're on the noisy streetside.

Amstel House Hostel

Berlin, Germany

Nice atmosphere, 24h-like bar in the lobby, bit pricey though. Easy to reach from main train station, but not really in a 'party'-area, so for going out you have to travel. Could use some more showers/toilets on each floor though.

Youth Hostel Zagreb

Zagreb, Croatia

Nothing really fancy, but no big disadvantages as well. Just a nice place to stay, close to the trainstation and to the city centre.

Hostel One Sants

Barcelona, Spain

Airco in the room was on the whole night, couldn't turn it off, so it became really cold, our room felt like Reykjavik or something. The two beds in the bunkbed were too close to eachother. Staff was helpful at checkin, but not always present, we had to wait a while to get our luggage. Free internet. Location was close to Camp Nou, but quite far from the area round the Ramblas, easy to get to the airport though.

Barcelona, Spain

Great place to stay. Much more facilities available than stated on the hostelworld page. There actually is luggage storage (the main reason why we decided to move somewhere else for the last night), free internet all day long, a mechanical fan on the room. Really great location, just near the Barri Gothic and all the narrow streets, avoid the Ramblas and just go there. Also withing walking distance of Barceloneta beach. Really helpful guy who checked us in.

Milan, Italy

Much more than we expected by booking a 'double bed with shared bathroom'. We had an ensuite bathroom, big tv on the room, free breakfast, welcome drink. It's not a hostel, but a hotel, so not a high score for the 'fun' part, the rest was great.

Camping Fusina

Venice, Italy

Campsite on the mainland, easily to reach though. Boat to Venice is 12 euro for a return, bus 2 euros. Cabins are quite small, noisy and very hot, beds were very weak, had to fix them a couple of times. Campsite itself is mainly focussed on the Contikikids, only entertainment is some childish games. Pizzabar is ok, supermarket can provide you with your needs, but at a quite high price, and it closes pretty early. After 21:30 you can only go to the bar and sit amongst young kids.

Our Place Private Rooms

Budapest, Hungary

Very nice place to stay, very helpful owner who really took the time to tell a lot about the city. Cool neighbourhood as well, with all the 'kerts' down there. Definitely first on our list when we come back to Budapest.

Kafka's Castle

Prague, Czech Republic

Best place we\'ve ever stayed in in Prague. Excellent location (both metro station and supermarket within 50 metres) and very spatious living room with kitchen, couches and even a tablefootball game. Nice beds, set up in big rooms. Clean bathroom with shower and a seperate bath. We\'ll definitely come back here!

Torquay Hostel

London, England

Not the best neighbourhood in London, but quite a good hostel and easy to reach. Not much fun either, but because of the good price/quality rate a tip for the ones who just need a hostel to sleep.

Marble Arch Inn

London, England

It was very close to Oxford Street, so that's good. You get towels and breakfast there, and there is a tv, fridge, hairdryer, waterboiler and sink in the room. It looked like a hotel and not really like a hostel. You don't see any other guests. There is also a possibility to leave your luggage there after checking out.
