I was so glad I only booked one night here. The place is shabby and the staff speak basically no English. The free airport transfer was the only good thing about this place - there were ants in my bed and there was no hot water. Zero atmosphere.

I ww looking for a chilled-out hostel and intending to do my partying elsewhere, and that's what I got. The lounge area is great for chilling in and staff are helpful with booking onward travel. The place is quiet when you want to sleep. Beds are flimsy though, so a restless bunkmate means little sleep...

Admittedly this place is very cheap but of course that means corners are cut. No top sheets - just a bare blanket, so not very hygienic. No wifi in the room, which is not really an issue until they kick you out of the lobby because the receptionist wants to sleep...

You can't beat the location. The 10-person dorm was split in two so it didn't feel too crowded, and there is a big locker under the bed. I was a bit worried about the noise as this is very much a party hostel and I needed an early night. However, the second floor was very quiet and I got a good night's sleep. Staff are really friendly and helpful and even agreed to store luggage for people who weren't staying there.

Staff were surly and seemed to resent having to deal with things like queries, checking in, checking out, return of passports, and other fairly standard matters. I was told it was "impolite" and a violation of "common courtesy" for me to be changing my plans and leaving a day early despite giving more than 24 hours' notice. Aircon in the dorms is only on until 8AM. It is right by the sea - so much so that there's no beach and it's therefore a 5-minute walk to get to sand. The bungalow was nice.
Apologies that you thought our staff to be surly. They are very busy most of the time. The hostel has a cancellation policy which you should understand when booking. The AC remains on until 9am,Usually dorm guests are up by this time. At this time of year we experience king tides so high sea levels, usually lasts until April. We have many beach loungers on the beachfront. Most people consider far more comfortable than sitting on the sand. Thank you for your praise for our bungalows.

Booked ensuite room; when I turned up I was given a room with a bathroom down the hall that was just for me so "private". Would have been fine except owner insisted on charging same price as for ensuite. Took ages to persuade her otherwise. My friend was leaving that night so left her luggage in my room and was going to take a shower; was paying for double room so should be fine. Random woman who appeared to work there YELLED at her to get out. Wifi v. patchy and didn't work with iPhone.

A bit out of the way but a short bus / taxi ride into town or a 20-minute walk. Bigger issue is the location right by a highway intersection so pretty noisy with the windows open (a necessity in summer). Receptionist was really helpful and the room was fine other than really soft mattresses which gave us both a backache! Seems to be pretty common in Spain though.
