Top-quality hostel in a great location in San Telmo. The rooms are spotless, your bed is made every day (even in the dorms!), the beds are very comfortable, the shower and toilet are separate (great in the dorms) and the air conditioning always worked well. The lockers are huge - big enough for your big bag. Nice lounge and pool area (good place to chat over a few beers at night!). The breakfast has tons of fresh fruit, bread and pastries. Great staff, especially Andrea who is lovely!

Riad Etoile de Mogador

Essaouira, Morocco

A lovely Riad with gorgeous, well-presented rooms and a number of communal spaces to watch TV or chill out (including a nice rooftop terrace). The breakfast is amazing - a pancake, crossaint and lots of bread with tea/coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. A perfect start to the day! This is a great place for travellers who want some much needed R&R time and peace & quiet after the insanity of Marrakech.

Hostel Riad Marrakech Rouge

Marrakech, Morocco

Marrakech Rouge has to be one of the best hostels in Marrakech - the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the showers are hot and clean and the breakfast is great. It's just a 5 min walk to the square and even less to the Bahia Palace so there's no need for taxis or buses! I was travelling on my own and found it was a great place to meet fellow travellers - there's a great chilled out vibe with a rooftop terrace where everyone can hang out and plenty of other communal areas. Fab hostel!
