From what I've been told, a lot of the hostels in Hong Kong are like this one. They really cram them in there. Our room was barely large enough for the bed and it was a bit of a struggle with two people in the room. That said, it was fairly clean, well ventilated and comfortable. The proximity to the Mong Kok MTR station and Ladies Market were huge plusses. We found it very easy to get everywhere. Just be prepared to spend 10 minutes every time you need to use the elevator. It was fine.

I never thought that a hostel so close to the main train station would be so nice. The staff is great and it's pretty clean all around. I didn't stay long enough to get a feel for the atmosphere. It was very convenient to both the Taipei Main Station (which services both the TRA and THSR) and the bus station which includes direct busses to TPE airport and the rest of the country.
The place was beat up, dirty and the staff was rude. This place has a sister hostel in Oxford and the staff there hates this one.
Best. Hostel. Ever. The facilities are great, but the staff and the homey atmosphere are what make this place great. Stay here.
I really enjoyed my one night at Oasis. The beds were solid wood, so they didn't squeak, making the nights much quieter. The hostel wasn't full the night I was there, so instead of cramming everyone into a few rooms, We had three in a six person room, and for the six person room price! The WiFi was great (carried Skype calls) on the lower floor, though I couldn't get it in my room. Great atmosphere and location! While I couldn't stay for one of the chef prepared meals, it smelled great!
I really enjoyed the porn groove being played in the common room during the day. No... seriously. Reviews seem to be all over the place but my room was great. I stayed in one of the four bed rooms with the attached shower and sink. Overall, very clean, well maintained (except the stair wells) and a good atmosphere. The WiFi was iffy but it worked for email and Facebook, if not for Skype and YouTube. Common room was small but lively.
No atmosphere but very comfortable. This was my first hostel experience. The location is in a building near the Meuse, right near the old city and many of the sights as well as the city park. It was a manageable walk from the train station. I visited in February and the place was mostly empty. The WiFi was great and the lockers in the basement made storing stuff after checkout very easy. I didn't have a whole lot of interaction with the staff, but most of these interactions were positive.
