We stayed in a double room which was nicely decorated. All in all we really liked the stay, mostly because of very nice staff. The water in the shower was hot-cold - you never knew what you'll get. Also "something" was growing on the roof of the bathroom. The bed was noisy but also very comfortable. The kitchen was right next to our room - we could hear other people talk, but it was also nice to have a fridge nearby. It's ok to have your own drinks and food at the common room. Recommended!
The apartment was stylish with a nice bed and a small kitchen and lots of kitchen utensil. Unfortunately, during our stay, there was a renovation going on in the apartment next door. It's apparently allowed to smoke inside - that's not a good thing for us but for someone it might be. If you want to get easily to upper town sights, bars and cafes, this might not be the best place to stay. But it is close to train station (there's a grocery shop in the station tunnel ~500m away) and the trams.
The apartment is a bit hidden but that's good - no random intruders. The location was really good: you're inside the palace area, it's a short way to the harbor, fish market and (our) favorite restaurants. There's a grocery shop about 40 m away. The bedroom was nice and clean. Warm water in the shower was not always enough for 2 people. There are streets on both sides of the apartment which produces noise but it got quiet during the night - I recommend ear plugs. No cooking facilities.
