Hostel Villa Angelina Old Town

Dubrovnik, Croatia
83%

It's inside the old city walls, so that should warrant a stay in itself. However, it's also a really nice hostel with great staff and decent enough facilities.

Awesome hostel in an awesome town. The rooms inside the old brick building are particularly cool, very atmospheric.

Travellers Home Hostel

Sarajevo, Bosnia And Herzegovina

The premiere hostel in Sarajevo for very good reason. Excellent location, really helpful and friendly staff, very clean rooms and comfy beds. No breakfast included though and the kitchen is right next to the rooms so can be a bit noisy. No gripes other than that.

Chillout Hostel Zagreb

Zagreb, Croatia

Really nice, vibrant hostel in the middle of Zagreb. It's rather large, and I usually prefer small hostels, but this one had a really cool vibe and super nice rooms. They've definitely put a lot of effort into the whole building.

Hi 5 Party Hostel

Budapest, Hungary
69%

A fairly typical hostel for Budapest it seems: run by hedonistic adolescents who are firmly engrained in their own exclusive social clique. If you're not a big drinker and don't like getting wasted on pub crawls every night I'd recommend staying somewhere else. Also, nothing is particularly clean - the smell that assaults you when you come in the gate is akin to rotting animal corpses but thankfully it's only contained to one area. Very, very cheap though. The 2 euro dinners are a nice bonus.

Burg Hostel

Sighisoara, Romania
83%

They don't have a lot of competition so they don't put a huge amount of effort in. The staff don't speak very good english but the food in the restaurant downstairs is nice and the location is brilliant. Do yourself a favour though and find it on the map before you arrive. Either that or take a taxi from the train station. The directions they give when you book are so poor it could take a while to find it.

Kismet Dao Hostel

Such an awesome hostel, it'll make your stay in Brasov just that much better. Great atmosphere (I met loads of people here), very good location and they organise an affordable and very memorable day-trip out to Bran Castle, the Sinaea Palace and other Transylvanian attractions.

Really good hostel, a little more expensive than others in town but it's worth it for the excellent location, comfy beds and good facilities. An easy walk to Monastiraki square and the acropolis.

Probably one of the most expensive hostels in Athens HOWEVER, it's pretty much unbeatable for cleanliness, facilities and security. Also, the staff are great and the location is tops.

Really vibrant and friendly hostel. Amazing staff, brilliant location with a jaw-dropping view of the Aya Sofia from the bar. Was a cool enough hostel to drink at if we didn't feel like going out.

Smart Sea View Brighton

Brighton, England

Was the only hostel available for the night we wanted to be in Brighton. Don't be expecting The Ritz, but if you're willing to hike for 30mins from Brighton to Hove then it'll serve you adequately well. Not far from the beach, as the title might suggest.

Excellent location, a lot nicer than a lot of the other St. Christophers hostels around. Lovely staff. Bathrooms weren't too good but other than that a great hostel!

A very good choice for a stay in Zagreb. It was quiet when I was there but still had a cool atmosphere. You could do much, much worse for a Zagreb hostel.
