They overbooked us and placed us in hotel Ambrosiana. The worst hotel ever. staff was oblivious, gave us a wrong room. we booked a 4 room and first they gave us a 3 bed room (1 kingsize, 1 single) and after we went back they gave us an additional room (2 singles) but we were only allowed to use 3 beds for 'cleaning purposes'. showers are a nightmare and dirty. kitchen isn't half as good as in hostels. there's no AC and luggage storage is a joke because they just place it in the kitchen.

Definitely the best hostel in which we stayed during our trip. it was clean, not far from the lake/center. we had a nice room with amazing views and the Owner (and his wife) are simply the best. really nice genuine people who care for backpackers, and their budgets :) They offer great activities, we went rafting, as recommended by Jani the owner, and we had the best of times! the kitchen and showers/bathrooms are really nice and clean as well. I was sad to leave this amazing place.

the hostel itself is really good and clean. it's just a bit far out of the center, the tram ride isn't really bad but you have to walk a really long road before you get there which isn't preferable after a long (travel)day. there are a lot of people just hanging around so it's not very clear who actually works there but they are helpful. Downsides are the teeny tiny kitchen, loud music and the fact that there was only one shower (per gender) on a block with at least 14 people.

the location is very good, the owner is also nice and informs you about stuff you can do. As nice as he is (offering dinner etc) sometimes he can be a little annoying, we booked a dorm and he could just pop into the room to ask us how we were doing when really we wanted to have a moment alone. it's not a busy hostel so if you're looking for a party this wouldn't be the place to go. the place has a lot of character though!

the location is perfect it's close to the train station, so it's ideal if you are traveling by train and are planning to explore the city using the underground. I was with 3 other girls and I felt completely safe during my stay. The only complaint I have is that the kitchen didn't have enough pans / tea towels etc and the kitchen was really dirty during dinner times. But I guess this has more to do with the guests than the hostel itself, and it gets cleaned every morning so it isn't that bad!
