what a manificent building thought i,d gone back in time the staff were very helpfull (even when we were in the wrong area)rooms were spotless and beds were comfy, wardrobe & tea/coffee/kettle in the rooms bonus.the center is in the town center so you have shops pubs train station etc on the door step.(went for a nice walk along the canal) only thing is a bit better instuctions to get to the right building.(as you come over the bridge the building is on the left)

Thank yu so much for your review. I agree the location is great as with the bus, train and the town itself on our doorstep there is a lot for people top do. I am sorry that you had difficulty in finding us at first I will look into this further and thank you for bringing it to my attenion. the girl on the reception was very helpfull the room was clean & beds comfy shower was on the low pressure side but did the trick the local town is about 1 mile away but the pub/hotel was a short walk away via the historic monk bell tower and graveyard. the whole location was picturesque

tom and wife couldn,t make us more welcome toms place is in a lovley village with the town 30 minute walk away the room was clean and beds clean and comfy the comunial area was comfy but it is still on going as it has every thing but kitchen sink as it was not plumbed in or oven but that didnt stop my wife making egg/mushroom/beans on toast for 5. if you have transport (tom will take you to town if you havent)it is a good spot to explore the area also tom is very knowlagable in everything irish

margaret and her team made us feel like home the whole place was v clean beds very comfy. enjoyed the full irish breakfast location of the b&b was v good only 1k or 20 min walk into town and well situated to explore the area of killarney . the comunial area is very homely with tea/coffee av,ble. will hopefully return

Sheilas Cork Hostel

paddt who greeted us was excelent very helpfull and knowlageable booked a 4 bed & got a 6 bed although the room was long and thin at least we had some spare room to put our gear the room was clean and beds comfy onsuite was good to. sheilas is very close to city center and good spot to explore the area (ie blarnie castle and cheers paddy for showing us route R600/N71 a good route to ride)sheilas also has a good size and safe parking for bikes. all in all sheilas is a good value hostel

stayed one night the girl on reception was very helpfull as we were on motorcycles although no drive she allowed us to put them through the gate and on to the front patio area. the room was aiey & clean with comfy beds and the shower wes refreshing. continental breakfast inc,d location is good only 10 minuet walk to city center and temple town . enjoyed our stay
