This is neither a hostel nor a hotel. There's no real common area or cooking facilities, but you also don't get your own bathroom. We only dealt with one staff member during our stay (but saw others around, I'm only commenting on the one we had interactions with. didn't get her name unfortunately) but she was pretty unhelpful. In the first room we were given the bed was absolutely awful, seriously it literally as hard as the floor. Thankfully we were moved. Good location, poor staff.
No hot water in the showers for three days is ridiculous. The showers are absolutely tiny, i mean, we don't expect luxury, but to get changed after having a shower you literally need to have one leg in the shower and one out, that's how cramped it is. Hostel isn't near any kind of supermarket/7/11 or anything which is a real pain in the butt. A couple of restaurants nearby, but the location is pretty iffy. Also felt like we were walking through a dangerous part of town every time we ventured out
Do NOT stay here in summer! There is no air conditioning in the rooms, just fans which literally do nothing. Our room was hotter than outside and absolutely unbearable! All other facilities were good :movie theatre, free popcorn and coffee, easy walk to the subway.
Staff were great, location is amazing (walking distance to a lot of things, including the subway). No perks in this hostel but at least there are lots of bathrooms and there was air conditioning! Overall not bad, would stay here again.
