Dahab Hostel

Great, value for money, downtown hostel within walking distance of many things and the metro, which is so easy to use. Also had a White Desert excursion which was wonderful when there but an awfully long way for one night out in the desert. Beds varied but I slept comfortably.

Cliff Hotel

This is a hotel in an older building in downtown Amman so the best attributes are great location and the owner is very helpful. The rooms and facilities are old of course but it was clean, comfortable and everything worked. So it was great value.

Citadel Youth Hostel

I slept on the roof which is a great option for Jerusalem - like camping in the city. Fine weather and a beautiful location meant a great stay, and cheaper option. Security wasn't a problem.

A nice, newer feeling hotel. my room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very obliging and helpful. It's not a lomg walk from the restaurant area so it was good value.
