Here is hard to find a better place to stay! The conditions are just fine, ok for 2 nights! But the owner is very friendly and nice! Ask for a western toilet when checking in, in case you want one.

Green Forest Hostel

Guilin, China

This Green Forest has nothing to do with the one from Yangshuo. The common area is nice but the staff is not very friendly. I am really afraid of cats and they had one in the common area which was playing around, I was watching a movie and I couldnt move because of the cat, I asked them to take the cat out of there and 2 mins after it was back, I had to leave and stay in my room. Besides, we paid for the best room: it was old, w/bad shower, smelled a LOT like deep-fried food... Bad experience!

We loved this hostel! One of the best hostels I've ever stayed... The food is also very good but regarding their travel service, they don't organize anything, they just have a brochure with what you can do but then you don't know how to do it. This Green Forest Hostel has nothing to do with the one from Guilin, this one is much better!!! I would definitely stay here again :)

Huangshan Old Street Hostel

Great location. The rooms were really good! The staff was very helpful and friendly! However, the common areas were very uncomfortable (freezing), plus the bar was always empty, no one to attend us, most of the times we had to ask in the reception to call someone to serve us. When we went to Huangshan we booked the breakfast in advance and it wasn't ready at the time we left, so we were late and had to take way.Which wasn't convenient at all as it was a Swiss breakfast! But I would stay here again!

The hostel conditions was really good, the location wasn't amazing but stil OK since it was near the subway. The only problem with this hostel was the fact that it is mainly for students and studying trips. The breakfast finishes arround 8.30am!!!

The room was really nice and clean, however it was way far than we were expecting! We had to "climb" riomaggiore, basically! Be prepared for that! the reception is on the main street but it's not the case for the room.

Urbana Street

when we arrived at the hostel (11.30AM) we had to call for the number on the door bcause no one was there, and then we wated more than 30mins till someone arrived. The location is really good! the room was big with AC! however, we were charged for more 2€ per day, per person; it is actually written on hostelworlds' urbana street profile that additional taxes may be charged but it seemed like a number that came out of nothing, that he made it up at the moment..

Central Station Inn

Rome Ciampino, Italy

We were in a private for 2 which was quite ok!The staff was friendly. The last bus to the hostel from ciampino airport is @ 11pm and the cab costs around 15-20€, luckily we shared it with another couple. maybe it would be a good idea to arrange a commute bus connection or another solution, since most guests probably arrive at ciampino at these late hours. Theres only one problem, once our room was next to a bathroom every time someone flushed there was a weird loud noise coming from the toilet.

Great location! The room was ok! We were in a 6 bed dorm and the room had 2 bathrooms, however theres no air con and the hostel is located in a really noisy place. So, these 2 things combined didn't help to get through the night. Besides that it was ok! Don't expect a wonderful breakfast, but it's free so who cares! The power went down while we were sleeping and the emergency light turned on. We had to tell the reception and only after 20 mins they solved the problem.

i've been in a lot of hostels in the worst places, like in SE Asia, and I can say that that one was really bad! the bathrooms were completly dirty, the room same same, the maids came to "clean" our room at 8a.m. and woke up everyone doing a lot of noise, the restaurant i actually never saw it operational, the safe boxes were always full (they have about 9 for the hostel which has 5 floors) which is really bad once the rooms doesn't have keys... Beyond so many other things.
