Gracia City Hostel Barcelona

This hostel is basic, but it's cheap and it's in a good spot. Showers are ordinary, so if you live for a good shower you'll be disappointed, but the common areas are cosy and friendly and the kitchen has what you need to get by. I'd stay again.

Quart Youth Hostel

Quart is a very well presented hostel - you could be forgiven for thinking it wasn't a hostel at all - it's very trendy and very tidy. Kitchen only has a small fridge and basic equipment and the common room doesn't really make for a social atmosphere, but if you're just after a tidy place to sleep then I'd recommend it.

Melting Pot was in a good location and it had a very friendly vibe. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful. The terrace is great for hanging out, kitchen well equipped and lockers to keep stuff in. I stayed longer than planned and would go back. Recommended.
