Although adjacent to a motorway, I wasn't bothered by the noise. A strange location outside the city centre and in a residential area with no life. Reception staff were lovely and helpful, though the volunteer staff tended to congregate in the kitchen and dominate. Availability of showers, etc, was good.

Hardly anyone around except a woman with a hacking cough next door to us, all night. In these times of Covid I'm not sure what had happened to her. I saw one guest for a few minutes and even he disappeared, never to be seen again. No-one answered the door or phone when we arrived: felt like a ghost house. Notices everywhere warning about drugs. TV on constantly but not working properly (small issue). On a very steep street so you need care if you have a car and are looking to park.

This is a gem. A short tram ride from Alicante brings you to within 100m of this oasis. Its 2min walk to a fabulous beach and 5 mins into El Campello town centre. The pool/kitchen/patio area is great for hanging out or having your meal. The staff were very friendly too...what more could you want? I took a mark off for the soft mattress and some bits floating in the pool. This place is great for just chilling.

I arrived during the San Juan fiestas. Nearly every street in the centre was sectioned off for parties throughout the nights. Crazy! Unfortunately the lounge area of the hostel also became a party place at night when some people started a beer pong game that was very annoying. You either had to join in or go out to the street.
Sorry if you didn't feel comfortable but people who come in these dates normally want party. And thats what we offer to them. Anyway we say in our descrption that we organize partys and events at evenings

A bit clinical in appearance and feel, with the rooms depending on keeping your key card for light as there are no or very small windows. The hostel was very ghostly...large empty spaces, no noise except the over-zealous air-con. That said, the roof terrace and lounge-kitchen were excellent as was the location, 2 mins walk from the bus station and in the old town. Overall, a weird film-like experience...bring a friend for company!

Beautiful building. Go to 2nd floor to look at the Alhambra looming above you. One thing that pissed me off was the tour guide (Slovakian, I think) who went round taking names/ages/nationalities for his evening tour. He asked all the younger people then said 'lets go' without a word to me. Maybe he did me a favour by ignoring me...

Beautiful hostel with a great dipping pool on the roof. Superb. Bedroom was nice and cool in hot weather with good firm mattresses. The staff were wonderful, even helpingh me sorting out a problem with my bank. Went to a local bar with no tourists called El Pancho...fantastic meeting locals there. Loved Cordoba.

Lovely quirky old mansion hotel right in the centre of Antequera. Don´t worry about level floors and smooth closing doors and windows...there aren´´´´t any! A film set waiting to be discovered.

A strange location on the edge of town in an industrial estate...not as bad as it sounds though. Two supermarkets nearby and beachj 2 minutes walk away.

Great location in the old town. Superb roof terrace with a small kitchen attached. The blankets provided were not good enough for the cold nights of December.

Shame about the cramped rooms with 3 tier beds and the lack of sinks and toilets. And what about the sinks attached to the back of the toilets? Water everywhere!

Wonderful hostel just the right distance from the town centre. Pleasant little garden and terrace. Shops nearby and you can see the metro station from the garden. Lucia is a great host and her staff were really helpful and friendly.

Although I loved the location it is a bit of a shlep into the suburbs (maybe 2 miles). Manuel, our host of all hosts, met our bus at the station and waited an hour for us. What a star! He even brought us back on the morning of leaving!! Once you deal with that you have lovely clean rooms and bathrooms, great terrace and garden and superdog Nico. Breakfast was brill on the terrace with our host making us fresh coffee and refreshing the juice. The shopping centre was near and good bar/restaurant.

This hostel is about 1 min walk from San Pelaio train station, 3 mins to Eroski supermarket and 5 mins to the fabulous beach. The roof terrace is wonderful for breakfast and evening drinks though being a few metres away from a petrol station is a very odd experience: location would have scored 10 otherwise.

Huge and soulless. Its located in dense woodland with virtually no signposting. Just follow anyone with a backpack! If you arrive at night it could be scary, but it is safe. Most people arrive by car but its an easy one mile walk from town with a good map. Small kitchen on 3rd floor and picnic tables under the trees on ground floor. If you want to be near nightlife this place is not for you. Large supermarket about 15 mins walk through the woods. Don't get lost!

Lovely hostel next to the old town. Christina and Juan are wonderful hosts. The beds are comfortable with sidelights and power sockets. Gods WiFi on each floor. Nice breakfast. Querky decor. Cuenca is well worth a visit. Great walks from the front door and Juan showed me a good restaurant (el bodegon) with a 10euro menu that I would never find alone.

Useful lockers in the room which operate using the cardkey. Friendly staff. Lovely patio.

Nice clean hostel in a safe neighbourhood. The staff were helpful. An improvement would be breakfast included. Be careful about finding the place as I walked right passed it and went to the old site, which maps.me still shows. They don't seem to put their sign out until it gets dark, so you have no idea where it is. Remember, its the mustard coloured building about 20 steps from Benito Juarez park (next door to what looks like a fortress).

Type of place you could just hang around for a couple of days lazing by the pool. In a safe residential area a short walk from the UCA bus station (Granada, Masaya) with bars and shops nearby. I knocked a mark off cleanliness because of the leaves, twigs and bird droppings around the pool due to the large mango tree. Simple pancakes and coffee for breakfast and Netflix available.

This place is a machine. Only 2 blocks from the central square, a huge building with 3 courtyards with hammocks, power points everywhere, etc. Good pancake breakfast with fruit and coffee right next to the pool. Dorms a bit warm in the evening but each bed has a fan.

Simple, basic. No social spaces except a smoking area. Power went whilst there. One block to beach (no-one swam at all but there were walkers and joggers). Next door bar noisy at night.

Its located about 200m past the noisy bars so its an ideal location. The pool is wonderful and all the hammocks and chairs around it make it very sociable. The owners are very helpful. Air conditioning in the dorm was great but 10 people to 1 bathroom was tight. The beach sunsets should not be missed!
Thanks for the good comments. It was a pleasure to have you here. You are always welcome!

Perfect location. Nice pool area with hammocks. Helpful staff. Only small drawbacks: noise from the next door bar and security (I had left a bag under my bed so I went back the next day to get it. I walked through the hostel and into my room without any problem. Good for me but not the safest.)

Isha is located about 20 mins walk from the city centre in a good safe neighbourhood. The breakfast is terrific, taken looking out onto the garden and the suburbs. Two cinemas a walk away. Katherine is a wonderful manager!

Get off the bus as soon as the road hits the coast, don't go all the way into Golfito. Then walk back down the pebbled road for 1km. Huge spaces, terrace to take in the views of the gulf over breakfast. Great workaway staff, Kim and Joe, when I was there.

Great location in the old town but a short walk from the sea front...lovely to walk along as the sun sets to watch the football, volleyball and cricket matches. Also keep fit and salsa to be seen. Atmospheric old colonial building with air-conditioning in bedrooms. Top bunks a bit tricky to negotiate! Make your own pancake breakfast with fruit and coffee...magic!

The fantastic location is only surpassed by the dynamic duo of Dani and David, with their attention to detail and wicked sense of humour. Dani is just perfect for a big hug and she told me not to mention the squeaking door, so I won't. Teehee. Great balcony!
HI guys! so glad to see your review and the fact that you mentioned the squeaking door :) it was an absolute pleasure having you around and we hope to see you again in the near future for additional hugs :)

Great location 5 mins walk from bus station and 10 mins to town centre. We arrived early and managed to get breakfast. The young woman who checked us in was very helpful. Our walking tour of the town was brilliant and over 3 hours long. Good stopover choice heading for Albania.

We were sent 5 mins down the road to a room with no windows and a door that didn't lock. The staff sorted the door out when asked. We didn't get to use the garden as we weren't at the main hostel but we did have a good time meeting locals in the cellar bar. I am sure the atmosphere was better in the main hostel. We had to leave early in the morning and the staff sorted out a quick breakfast for us.

Just 8 mins walk from train station made this hostel ideal. All the staff were very helpful especially friendly Brit called Joe. Our room had air con (needed in summer) but had low ceiling. Good vibe in lounge in the evening. 20 minute walk to old town. Local shop 1 min walk, restaurant 5 mins, huge supermarket 10 mins.

An easy and cheap 30 pesos ride from Puerto Plata (just stay in the public Munoz taxi til the end) to a great location on a lovely river. Hardly any mosquito's but tons of birds. Some characters have been there for months. Diana took us dancing in the village one might...fabulous. Its a half hour walk to Playa Dorada beach or public taxi again.

I arrived by night bus in the middle of the night and it was extremely difficult to know where I was in the dark with no-one around to ask. Once found, and in the morning, it was quite different and I found my way to the bus stop for Madrid with the assistance of the staff. You need to get it into your head that this hotel is in a small town about an hour bus ride from Madrid.

The hostel is bit out of town which is great because you are surrounded by real Spanish shops, bars, etc. Very genuine. It is only a short walk to the beach and 10 - 15 mins walk to train and bus stations. Also less guests to fight over the showers!!

Unfortunately, the ´free´ meal advertised was just cooked rice rather than paella and they charged 6 euros for it (with a glass of wine). You can get a whole 3 course menu del dia, with proper paella, with a glass of wine for 7 euros in Malaga. Very disappointed.

I went in mid winter so everything was very quiet there. I had my own single room with en suite for a great price - 17 euros. Its only about 5 mins walk from the bus station. Staff were very helpful. Kitchen next to large terrace so in good weather it would be fantastic.
