Sleep Well Youth Hostel

Only stayed here for 1 night before our flight out of Brussels, but the hostel was very much like a hotel. Very clean and organized, large common room on the first floor to mingle with other guests. I stayed in a 4-bed dorm and it had a toilet and two showers, which was awesome.

Hostel One Sants

Barcelona, Spain

Out of the 25+ hostels I've stayed at, this is easily one of the best, if not the best. Hostel One Sants offers the most inviting atmosphere literally from the moment you get in the door until the moment you check out. The hostel staff have something for people to do everyday and host a free dinner every night, both are a great way to make friends. By the end of your stay, you'll probably be friends with all the staff too. If you stay anywhere else in Barcelona, you're doing it wrong.

This was my second time staying at Wombat's Naschmarkt. The place is directly across the street from the Naschmarkt and not too far from metro stops. Hostel was very clean and each key card worked as a lock for your locker inside each dorm, which was efficient. Wombats has a bar inside the hostel, awesome way to meet people and drink before you go out. The staff was so-so, some I spoke to were kind of rude, others were lovely. Would definitely go back though.

The Bulldog

Mixed opinions about The Bulldog. It's obviously a very famous hostel/coffeeshop in Amsterdam and it's location is right in the middle of Amsterdam (and the Red Light District), which is great if you're interested in that area. But being next to the Red Light District means tons of people are around at all times, which can get old. Place has a bar/restaurant/smoking room (weed only) which is cool. The rooms and hallways have a very 90s outdated feel to them, but they were clean. More of a hotel.

Eurohostel

Adequate hostel for sleeping, but very bland and largely uneventful. €5 for wi-fi is ridiculous, but if you're looking for a solid place to sleep in downtown Helsinki, this place does the job.

Snuffel Backpacker Hostel

Bruges, Belgium

This is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. It is essentially a bar with a couple rooms upstairs full of bunk beds, but as a traveler, it has all you need and everything you want. Rooms and beds are clean, although you have to go downstairs, through the bar and outside to get to the bathrooms and showers. Bar is lively at night and full of locals and travelers. I highly recommend this place

Adequate hostel with good security. Staff was mixed, some are very nice while others have a serious attitude problem. Overall a great place to stay if you can handle grumpy workers.

Flying Pig Uptown

Fantastic hostel with a lot of character and entertainment. Bed, showers and bathrooms are all clean and adequate. Bar downstairs is awesome for meeting others staying at the hostel and it even has a smoking room for all the fun stuff. Breakfast in the morning is clutch and overall the hostel is extremely welcoming

Good hostel in a pretty solid location. Provides adequate security and clean facilities, staff was very generous. I would stay here again if I went to Helsinki again.
