Hotel is NOT shown in the correct position on the Hostelworld map (it is closer to the train station), I informed the receptionist but it is still wrong. Besides that it is a very nice hotel.
We got the one bedroom apartment with double bed, kitchen, private bathroom, wi-fi and terrace, it suited our needs perfectly and we self catered all 3 nights (pasta), which by the way is nice duration for Mljet. Hiring a bike is the best way to explore the lakes. This place is good but I can't give 100% because the finish wasn't perfect and we have found better value for money on other islands, maybe it's just that Mljet is more expensive all round? Tip: you must flick the switch for hot water.

Great place, great hosts, stay here! Markale has everything you'd need and it was spotlessly clean. It's location is awesome and all the staff are fantastic, Adnan (the owner) was very pleasant and hopefully you'll be lucky like us and he'll spend some time with you. By the way I recommend Kino Bosnia on Monday nights for a relaxing beer and music.
Great hosts, very friendly/helpful and amazing value for money for June. They collected us from the airport and dropped us off at the bus station which was most useful. We saved money by using their kitchen for breakfast and lunch and ate on the balcony :-) Wi-fi was reliable. Town is about a 10 min walk (but you should be of reasonable fitness because of the many steps) and there are mini-markets closer by.
