Great hostel. Best value for your money in town! Tons of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants right next to the hostel. The Copacabana Beach is four blocks away. The subway is two blocks away. The closest bus stop is just a few steps away. Theatro Net Rio is next doors to the subway entrance, so I had the chance to see two awesome big Broadway musicals. The location is unbeatable! The place could be a little cleaner, but nothing to detract for the experience of staying in Rio.
Probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Gorgeous facilities, spotless clean rooms, breathtaking views, great breakfast and an unbelievable location, just a few steps from “Plaza de Armas”. Tons of awesome shops, restaurants, bars and nightclubs all within the hostel’s city block. The only con that comes to my mind is absence of an elevator (minimum of three flights of stairs to get to the rooms level). Staff was courteous and accommodating. I totally recommend “Hostal El Triunfo”!
I had good expectations of this hostel due to the reviews I read over here. Unfortunately, the place is not in a good condition. The staff was nice and helpful, but the facility need some urgent renovations. There’s only one communal shower for the whole hostel, which makes it obviously the building’s most untidy corner. Molded ceilings, walls with broken edges and rooms not well lit at night were some of the main issues. The only bright side is the location right next doors to Huaca Pucllana.
Clean facilities and good location, quite close to Leipzig's main train station, which is the city’s most important transportation hub. The rail, tram and bus network connect there, so you’re basically a short ride to/from all the places. Tons of restaurants and shops within a short walk. My room had a strong smell of wood, probably from the bunk beds. It was a tad annoying at first, but then I got used to it. Guests seemed more mature and quiet than usual, so don't expect a party vibe.
