Hostel Prague Tyn

Prague, Czech Republic

This hostel stands out cos of the lovely staff who really make an effort to talk to you, both the morning and night staff. and let you check out early at odd hours. The breakfast is cereal and milk, but there is a sandwich too. Lockers are big. There are less sockets than people per room, but enough. The location is really central. But there is only one toilet and one shower per gender for a few roomful of people. It is clean though.

Hostel ELF

Prague, Czech Republic

Good breakfast with ham, cheese, toast, coffee, tea, etc. Nice chillout area on the terrace which makes for good socialising. Lots of toilets and showers which have proper doors so you dont have to wait. It is very close to the train station, but about 15 mins from the city centre. You can borrow locks for the lockers for a deposit, which is awesome.

Hostel Mondpalast

Dresden, Germany

Really nice staff who helped me check up how to go to Saxon Switzerland. The hostel shares the reception area with an unaffiliated bar, but it gives the place a good character. Very nice common room area, and free WiFi that works in rooms. Beds are mostly not bunk beds, and the rooms are spacious. Lockers are just a teeny bit narrow, but it is long and there is space for hangers. It is quite a long walk to the historic centre, but close to nice pubs, supermarkets and bakeries. Recommended.

PangeaPeople Hostel & Hotel

Berlin, Germany

There are very dedicated staff (esp. Iiyas) which makes the stay really good. They accompany you to the luggage room and lock up after you leave, so it is very safe to leave your stuff before check in. The rooms are spacious, but very few sockets. There is construction next door, so sometimes in the morning you get woken up by drilling. But this place is very convenient and there are huge, quick elevators. Free WiFi works in the rooms. Highly recommended!

Thank you so much! Ilyass will be happy to here from this review :-) Thank god.. constuction works next door will be finished soon!

Lockers in rooms had strange holes so most locks don"t fit. There are pay-per-use lockers with various sizes for pre- and post- check in, which offers security for your stuff. But the showers in the common bathroom have short doors so you can see the heads and feet of people bathing. Free Wifi available in reception and lower floors. The hostel is so big and there is so many people that you have to queue to talk to the reception most of the time.

Ecohostel Andromeda

Gent, Belgium

Strong WiFi connection even in the rooms. Lockers were big and key provided. Showers were spacious and clean. 10min walk to the sights. Quiet area; the deck was good to sit in. Common room was homey, and good for socialising. Owners lead the ecofriendly life by example. One socket and reading light per bed, and the lower bunks had shelves to put stuff. Good quality breakfast with bread and fruits (banana and honeydew), no cooking area.

Snuffel Backpacker Hostel

Bruges, Belgium

Bar with the cheapest beers (1eu at happy hour) in all of Bruges. Great breakfast with bread, cereal, coffee, tea, milk and selection of jam and other spreads. Staff was helpful though busy. Lockers with power sockets are awesome. Functional kitchen. Slow WiFi at night when the bar gets crowded and showers in separate structure, but it didn't bother me. Hairdryer in bathroom was good. Sides of the beds were a bit dusty; the curtains are thick. A pretty good stay.

Antwerp, Belgium

Located 10min by foot from the train station, in an area with lots of late-night convenience stores and some cafes. Spacious common area, with TV and book exchange and even a guitar. Greg explains very nicely the sights to catch in Antwerp and places to eat near the hostel. Breakfast is bread, milk, cereal and eggs, with a selection of bread spreads. Secure lockers with key provided, but large enough for valuables only. Bathrooms shared but comfy enough. Place with great character.

Perfect Hostel

Paris, France

Very clean toilets, and the bathrooms are very thought-out: a stool and many hanger hooks. Breakfast is simple and good, in a lovely sunny dining area. Area to leave the luggage before and after check-out (in the afternoon) is good too, leave at your own risk but it's safe enough. Location is safe and close to the metro and to the Basilica. Like the locks on the storage cabinet in the rooms and the room door is secure.

Noble Art Hostel

Florence, Italy

The hostel/ apartments were up quite a few flights of stairs, so if you have difficulties climbing, this is not the place for you! The stairs were also quite dark. Otherwise, the woman is nice and took time to recommend the places to go. The bathroom was clean, and had hot water. You could leave your bags after check-out. However, wifi was down and security was poor, flimsy locks. Comfortable enough for a short stay, good location, though there were flies in the room and we got bitten at night.

Hotel Il Papavero

Rome, Italy

Could provide more towels for guests!

Hostel Lella

Rome, Italy

Other than the fast internet speed, there's not much to recommend about this place. The bathroom was tiny, barely enough space to turn around. The room was also so small that you can't open the closet door fully. The beds were thin and you could feel the springs. There are other hostels in Rome that are cheaper but have better facilities and service.

All'Angolo di Romeo

Verona, Italy

A good stay at an area close to main attractions. The place was very clean, though it is in an apartment so there were some rules to follow but it was manageable. The heater was also warm. Friendly staff.
