We stayed here 5 nights and had a great experience. Fabio and Domenico are adorable and really welcoming hosts--cooking dinner for us & giving great suggestions for places to see/do while you're in Rome. It also is really fun because you get to know all the other hostel residence really well and have a great time together, going out and enjoying the city! The rooms are spacious and clean---I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Rome!
Giovanni's home was a great place to stay-Giovanni is very helpful in introducing you to the city and explains all the places you could go visit (you could easily spend a week in Naples). His home is very clean and nice to stay in---there is a terrace open during the day and sometimes Giovanni cooks for you as well! Also there are several bathrooms/showers so getting ready in the morning is not a competition between all the people! I would highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Napoli!
Holiday House Ospedale was a woderful place to stay in Pisa! We had a ground floor room that was spacious, clean and very comfortable! It also was near a grocery store and right outside a bus stop that could take you to the city center. The manager was also very helpful in pointing out how to get to the city center and other sites in Pisa which was really nice! If you are staying in Pisa, I would highly recommend staying here!
Fantastic place to say! Very clean, quiet and with a reasonable price! Our room was huge, with two single beds and two couches in it...so very nice to stretch out and relax in. the manager was very nice and helpful, giving detailed directions to places to go in Pisa, as well as how to get there! A bus stop is just down the street & the bus comes every twenty minutes to take you to the city center, and there is a grocery store a few blocks away as well. Would highly recommend if you stay in Pisa!
We didn't actually stay here because we got in early in the morning and while we were waiting for our room to get ready, the manager made us very uncomfortable with inappropriate advances so we left and found a hotel elsewhere in Barcelona. Would not recommend this place at all.
The staff here at Hotel Bertha were very nice, even though several do not speak English fluently. The room was small but comfortable, the water smelled funny and there was a hole in the wall of the bathroom exposing the pipes. The location was very close to the metro, which easily gets you to the center of Paris within twenty minutes. Also only a short walk from the Moulin Rouge. It was an affordable place to stay, less than €50 per night for a private with an ensuite bath! Not bad for Paris!
This hostel was disgusting. The bathrooms immediately after cleaning had hair all over them, & toilets wouldn't flush. Gross. Also since it is a party hostel, noises are expected to be higher than the average place. They are. You will also get roommates that turn on the lights in the middle of the night for hours and are very loud when they back from going out. In the chill out room people like to blast music....party is downstairs not where people are relaxing and whatnot. Would not recommend.
We LOVED it here on the boat! The owners were the most helpful, and kindest people as well in guiding us to things to do in the city, as well as exposing us to a taste of Dutch culture! The rooms are small but the experience is great! It is very clean, quiet, and lots of fun! (For those that get seasick you couldn't even tell that you were on a boat by how steady it was in the harbor). Near to the center of Amsterdam, it was easy to walk everywhere. I highly recommend staying here!!!
This was more like a hotel than a hostel...minus sharing a room with a bunch of people! Everything was clean and kept up with security measures in entering the correct floor, to your room, and several lockers per person if they so desired. It was also right on Alexanderplatz, so it was easy to get around and even walkable to the Brandenburg Gate! However, since it is so big you don't get to know people as well so I'd say that is this hostel's major downfall.
Art Hole Hostel was so much fun to stay at! The staff were extremely helpful in answering any questions you have as well as directing you to great places to visit in Prague. It was a fun hostel to stay at as well because it being a smaller hostel, everyone could hang out in the common room and get to know each other and form bonds which was great. The one shower backed up a bit so you had to turn off the water for a bit so he bathroom wouldn't flood but besides that it was a great experience!
