Nice cosy hostel with excellent and friendly staff. Facilities were good, wifi was excellent. Lift in the building was a little temperamental. Location was great, about 7 min to metro station and a few minutes to trams. The dinners at night by mama were good value and great for meeting people. Beds were a little old and creaked a little but did the job. Atmosphere was nice. 24 hr reception was great.
Rooms, beds and facilities are still really new its crazy. Feels almost luxurious. Staff were really cool and always helpful. Some supermarkets within 10min walk. Laundromat across the street. Lockers underneath bunks nice and spacious. Most attractions around Madrid within walking distance. Metro close by. Common area wasnt the best but not too bad. Bathroom in a 4 bed dorm was a little small. Recommended.
Had an awesome time at this hostel i extended 2 more nights! Met some amazing ppl during my stay here (guess i timed it right). Staff always organised something every day, free paella night was awesome and so was the beach volleyball. Cans of beer was €1 and there was a games room down stairs with table tennis and foozball. Rooms had A/C and staff were amazing bunch! Only slight negative was bathrooms weren't the cleanest but not the worst ive seen. Heapsa computers to use and wifi was good.
Only stayed 1 night but was nice enough. Quite new hostel and staff were quite friendly. I liked idea of free drink on checkin. Very close to main train station which was important for me but a bit further out from town centre and main attractions however metro close by. Laundry took a while longer than was advised by staff but it was done in the end. Staff were happy to advise of places to visit and eat. Would recommend.
Location a little further away from main attractions but only about 10min walk from main train st. The bar has a pretty good atmosphere in the evenings, never ate there during day so not sure how good it is. Laundromat and metro station close by. Supermarket about 10min walk away. Rooms were clean enough with decent pull out lockers underneath bunks. Hostel split between 2 buildings and no proper common room so not much of a social scene during the day.
Really enjoyed my stay here. Its not a party hostel but you can go to sister hostel paprika 2 for pub crawls. Staff were fantastic, owner was a really nice lady sometimes offering free food out on main table. Hostel is clean, has a/c and close to public transport. One or 2 small supermarkets close by. It is cosy but has nice feel to it. Stayed during Aug (peak season and during sziget) so prices higher than normal i think.but otherwise highly recommended.
Convenient location, 1 minute walk from main train station and right next door to a supermarket. Laundromat was close by. I found the male staffs a bit rude, unless you were female if you get the drift. The female staffs were much more approachable and nicer. Facilities were ok, kitchen was a little small, common area was roomy with lots of tables. I stayed in a 3 bed dorm but there were only 2 lockers. I had a top bunk and it was right underneath the a/c which was a bit annoying.
I found most of the staff here really helpful and provided tips and suggestions on where to visit and how to get there. One of the girls even tried to help me call and email a dive group as I was not able to get hold of them. Laundry facilities was a little lacking compared to some of the bigger hostels ive stayed at. Location isnt too bad, a bit of a walk from the metro if you have luggage. Kitchen was ok, free breakie wasn't bad.
If there was a kitchen it would be tops! But atmosphere was awesome, bar at the bottom was so cool and free (proper) breakfast was fantastic.
Nice hostel to stay at. Room was clean and comfortable and there is a lift for those with big suitcases/bags. Location is great, main strip in Queenstown just a few minutes walk (Queenstown is pretty small anyways). TV/games room closes at 10 or 11 which may be annoying for those wanting to stay up late but it's still great to have the facilities. The 4 person room I stayed in had lockers which was great. Atmosphere was ok, not as good as others i've been to but still recommended.
One of the best hostels I've stayed at so far. Jean, the host, was simply amazing. Always willing to help and give advice, very knowledgable and friendly. The hostel has a fantastic open common area for socialising and it is very easy to meet other travellers. Jean always took the opportunity to introduce everyone which always helps. Conveniently located above a 7-eleven and just a few minutes walk from the subway. Met some awesome people here as well! Highly recommended.
Would be nice to have a larger more open common area. Perhaps consider extending A/C time restrictions during warmer months. Hostel was clean and well maintained.
Staff were friendly and very helpful when it came to making changes on room bookings, assiting with bookings for other locations and providing information on tours around the area.
Nice hostel that is well located as it's not on a main street. Accommodation was ok, nothing special but it was clean and maintained. Free breakfast was convenient, bread/toast with butter and jam plus coffee or tea provided. They also had a water purifier dispenser so you didnt have to buy your own water. No proper common room apart from the breakfast room (which is on the smaller side) so makes it difficult to meet other travellers.
