Hostel Meyerbeer Beach

A lovely hostel. Really nice that they have computers for those of us without Wifi and that they'll print your boarding pass for you. The fact that they give you towels without you having to ask and that they loan out beach towels, umbrellas etc. without you having to leave a deposit helps to create a feeling of trust and homeliness. The only issue I had was a mistake regarding changing rooms; I wasn't the only person I spoke to where they'd been a mistake; their system might need improving.

This place has a fantastic location: quiet at night but right by the market and Diocletian's Palace; 5 minutes walk from the port and the airport bus stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our 'Delux Twin' turned out to be an apartment with a washing machine and full kitchen as well as the all-important a/c. Overall, we were really pleased with it. The only thing missing is a communal area which was fine for travelling as a pair but not so good if you're alone and used to hostels.

A really modern, friendly place with a great breakfast and staff happy to help out. Everyone I met was happy to chat and communal areas helped with this...as well as affording a good view of the city. 100% recommended.
