We've spent 4 nights in the hostel. The localization is great near Tiananmen and Forbidden City, in the neighbourhood there are places where you can eat great breakfast or dinner. The room was ok, but with the musty smell and ventilator like window. Make sure you get a room with normal size window, cause we couldnt change as there was no left. The staff helpful and friendly:)
Hostel is quite a walk from Laoximen metro station. Staff didn't speak english well and the girls behind the desk didnt even try to be helpful or friendly. Many other tourists mainly chinese. We had a good rice and tofu meal in the evening from the guy standing at the corner of the street.
Quite a walk from metro station, good if you want to have an early morning fast connection with airport. Good hotel standard.
hostel located in Chunking Mansion ( home of imigrants from Africa and India) which is not very famous among local people. Its near the metro station and Victoria harbour. perfect for short stays during which you spend whole day sightseeing, cause room was extremly small. Good value for the price and very friendly staff. There was no problem with leaving the luggage for the whole day.
great hostel when you are in Yangshou. Helpful staff, good location and great rooftop bar to spend an evening on. definitely recommend
we have spent two nights at Wada hostel. The location is perfect just 10 minutes walk from railway station. The hostel has its own character with terrace outside surrounded by bamboo trees. the staff was friendly and helpful. we had a great time there. one minus related to lack of wi-fi in rooms.
We have spent one night in Dragons Den, even its a 40 minute walk up in the rice terraces, its worth it. The sights are wonderful. Make sure you get a room with a view on terraces. Good local food in their bar. Not everyone from staff speaks english.
