the hostel is exactly what the reviews told us - it is an old lady's apartment with lots of beds. there were 6 beds in our room, so it gets very hot. there are no locker facilities but the owner Kati puts your passport in a safe. the apartment is right in the centre of everything and there is a terrace to sit on that is cool, but it does feel a little silly to pay so much to be packed in with other people in her house. but, it was still a good stay, kati is funny and we made some friends.
didn't realise that this was actually a hotel! it was nice to stay with some privacy, we had a double room with our own bathroom etc. If you're looking for a social hostel this is not the place but it was so nice! Helpful staff and everything easy.
really well organised hostel (which seems to be at christophers in general because I stayed at their hostel 'The Village' also and it was similar), and the Hammersmith one was really nice because even in the biggest dorm each bed had a curtain and light for privacy. Big lockers under the beds and in a good location. Thought it was really good value and good vibe and heaps helpful staff and exactly what I would want in london
