Great value for money and the staff was very helpful. Not much atmosphere and the bedroom was very cold each night, though it seemed like they were working to resolve this.

Our group was very pleased with our stay at Astor Hyde Park. The staff, especially Jeff, was friendly and extremely helpful. The beds were also quite comfortable. The stairs to the rooms can be a bit of a pain, but not much you can do with this type of building. Also, plan for a bit of a hike to whatever tube station you plan to use, though there is a bus very close by at Royal Albert Hall.

At first glance, a beautiful place. Great social atmosphere and something for everyone. Unfortunately, rooms were dirty, the cleaning staff is over worked and under staffed, the check in procedure is ineffective and the front desk staff is basically just an animation team. We were able to get past this and then the fire alarm went off at 6am. Not the end of the world except for the fact that you couldn’t even hear it from our room and no one came to get us! Looking elsewhere next time.

I would not advise anyone to stay here while Covid restrictions are in place. Most social aspects of the hostel are closed as a result. The rooms were quite warm and mine happened to have a bit of a mosquito problem. Was also disappointed by how loud some of the rooms were at night. There was very little management or security behind a somewhat locked door and a staff member who never left their post at the front desk.
Thanks for your review. It seems we were not able to meet your expectations 😔 We do appreciate your words and we will make sure to share your comment with our team. Customer Care - Human Company

Very friendly staff and well-maintained building. The square in front of the building did not feel overly safe, but it's a big city and not that big of a deal. Right off of the Colonel Fabian stop, which was super helpful. We would have appreciated it if there was more focus on ensuring guests actually followed Covid regulations. Unfortunately, numerous people crowded us in the elevators and few wore masks.

Located pretty close to Roosevelt Row Arts District. The staff is super friendly. While the 5pm check in is a bit rough, they are accommodating if you want to drop your bags off early. The wood floors can be a bit loud when people walk around at night, but you get what you pay for.

The staff goes out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The food was great and atmosphere was lively, but never too much to be a disturbance. Absolutely loved our stay.

We love Selina hostels and always check their prices and availability first. This experience was just so so though. The staff was friendly, but not all that helpful. The bathroom sick and floor in our room was gross and barely cleaned and the social events were cancelled with no explanation. Also the 5 person dorm was nice, but was very difficult to access the bathroom in the morning due to crowdedness.

The staff is very friendly and location is great. It can get a little loud later at night, but the hostel offers ear plugs as needed.

The staff and facilities were great. The room itself, a private double, was definitely nothing special though. One of our windows did not close all the way and the storage area was falling apart. That said, the space was perfectly fine for two people and we enjoyed our experience overall.

Location is good in that it is right down the street from the banhof, but it is quite a walk from the old town. The facilities are well-maintained, though the staff was a bit cold during our stay.
Thank you very much for your feedback! :-) We appreciate it! From the old town you can also take tram number 16 which is 3 minutes walking distance from our hostel ;-) We would be happy to welcome you again! Kind regards, Valérie - Hyve Hostel.

The bed in our private room was basically a futon with the room full of mosquitoes. Not the end of the world. What was frustrating though was that we were given the wrong code to get in and we had to ask for (the limited) breakfast to be put out even though we came down after 9am. It definitely appeared that the place was a work in progress and needed some time to get its act together.

This hostel is absolutely beautiful, but this is outweighed by its various flaws. During most of our stay, we had to deal with very poor service from the front desk, shuttle service and the restaurant staff. Being 20-30 minutes outside of SJDS, you tend to rely on the accommodations of the hostel at times, but Selina did a poor job throughout the entirety of our 4 day stay. We thought this was isolated, but we heard most of the same complaints from various other people staying there.

By far the best hostel we stay at in Nica. The owners and staff are overly friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. There are events/activities going on every day that range from trivia nights to food tours. Their location is also super close to the town square. Hostel Azul is a must.

We were overall disappointed with our stay here. The front desk obviously lost our reservation and proceeded to call me by the wrong name the whole time we were there. They were very unhelpful any time we asked for anything (ex. I asked for and paid a deposit for a towel that I had to ask someone else for 45 minutes later). Also, the bathrooms were trashed almost the entire time we were there. The common area/restaurant was open and lively though.

The staff here were friendly, but not all that helpful. We attempted to order an airport pickup and got zero response. We asked for information about Managua and got little help. The rooms were pretty clean and there was breakfast offered, though it was quite limited.

This was one of the most disappointing hostel stays I have had. The staff here were condescending and overall unhelpful. We were even misinformed about attractions. The rooms were ok, but smelled during our entire stay and the bathrooms lacked hot water for nearly half our stay. The bar was decent, though the service was again mediocre. And forget about the WIFI : ( . Overall, we really wish we would have stayed somewhere else, as this hostel put a damper on the last few days of our trip.

Of the various places we have stayed throughout the island, this was by far the worst. We arrived late morning to a locked door and no caretaker. The caretaker had difficulty speaking English and could not help us with simple questions about Kandy sites or means of transportation out of the city. The bathrooms lacked toilet paper and soap. Bedroom windows did not close and pillows looked disgusting. Terrible location as well. Avoid if you can, which is unfortunate, because it had good reviews!

We used this hostel as our base both during and after our stay there. The guys were very helpful in providing information for tours and skiing. Even after we checked out and moved on, they were supportive in finding us transportation to our next stop and opening the hostel up to us to get ourselves organized. I would highly recommend this place!

This is simply a studio apartment. It is workable for a short stay, but there is no atmosphere as it is in more of a back alley and a bit of a walk from the main old town center (lots of stairs). The owner was nice, but being the holidays, was non existent.

Casa Elemento is an amazing outdoor experience. The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure you are comfortable and enjoying your experience. There is only one bathroom, which is really the only downside we experienced while there, but they are in the process of adding to that in the near future. Overall, I would recommend Casa Elemento to anyone interested in the outdoors and beautiful scenery.
