Woodah Hostel

Copenhagen, Denmark

This was a wonderful hostel. Such a nice atmosphere, very welcoming, cute decorations, cute rooms and bathrooms. The breakfast and sheets are no extra charge unlike other hostels in Copenhagen, which is a big plus. The breakfast was nice too, delicious bread (only one roll each, yes, but it's very filling!), tea, coffee, fruit, muesli, yoghurt and cheese. Really nice. Wifi is great, only in common area but not a problem. Staff were so very friendly and went out of their way to help.

Good hostel. Big English breakfast is included in the price. Good value, free wifi, good bathrooms, cute pub downstairs and not too loud. Very close to paddington station, 30seconds walk. Convenient! Recommended.

MEININGER Brussels City Center

Brussels, Belgium

This hostel/hotel was probably the best thing about my stay in Brussels. Didn't like the city much, but my stay here was excellent. Great bar downstairs, excellent breakfast although €5.90 extra. Probably worth it as you won't get much for that price in town. The room was incredible, had so many extras: hair dryer, soap and body wash, really comfortable, key card entry. Very secure. Free wifi everywhere in the building. It was a 10 minute walk or 3 stations into the city centre.

HI De Draecke Gent

My stay here was good but the place lacked atmosphere. It was very clean, had good ensuite bathrooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast was good, a fair amount of choice. There were films on each night in the common room. Internet had an annoying password which you had to enter each time you used it, but that was ok, as long as you didn't lose your bit of paper with the code! The building had a sterile feel to it. Very big and empty. The place was otherwise totally fine, and located very well.

Snuffel Backpacker Hostel

Bruges, Belgium

This hostel had a great location and good atmosphere, free wifi, breakfast included, really cheap bar downstairs where you can sit and hang out during the day too. Helpful staff. Would recommend. Only downsides is that the showers are in a separate building from the dorms and the temperature was temperamental. Water only comes when you hold onto a chain but I didn't think this was an issue.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Ensuite bathroom was excellent and clean. Good showers. Wifi everywhere in the building. Location was good, very near republique station. Good area.. The breakfast was good: cereal, bread, spreads, pastries, coffee and juice. Computers in lobby were free to use with Internet. Enjoyed my stay! No real common room but this doesn't bother me at all. This was one of the cheapest and best options I could find in Paris.
