Best hostel we've stayed at in Europe! A real plus for us was the kitchen (oven, 4 hotplates, fridge etc) as there's a supermarket nearby and makes eating on a budget easy. Looks like a hotel! Very modern. We stayed in the 8 bed dorm. Good lockers. Staff were really nice. Wifi was really good (and free) but dropped out occasionally. We will definitely be back.
We had a good stay here, it's a little hard to find but once you know where it is it is ridiculously close to the train station. Rooms were clean, and staff polite. Unimpressed that upon arrival we were advised the wifi is not free (€10 for 7 days). This is a basic service that should be offered by hostels for travellers. Linen also not included (€3) I'm happy to pay these costs when they're included in the price, but it's annoying to get to a hostel and find out it's actually more expensive.
Had a great stay here, loved the downstairs for sitting and wifi use. Also could buy coffee. If you catch the tram (number 19) from the front of hauptbahnhof for 3/4 stops it takes you very close to the hostel. You can also catch a tram to close to hofbrauhaus. Ask reception for details we had no issues. €5.60 or something for up to 4 people for a day ticket
Basic hostel, but nice. Wifi only available down stairs. Also a computer. Staff were very friendly and helpful. So close to the metro, just walk up the street and turn left. Short train into town.
Awesome location, SO close to Train station. Had a wonderful sleep in a clean room in a nice double bed with air con, a private ensuite (shower, toilet, bidet) and a little fridge! Free breakfast is at nearby restaurants, with a token you get on check in. Didn't know breakfast was included so nice surprise! So good after all the dorm rooms. Stay here! Super easy to get to the 'Cinque Terre' (5 villages) will be back again next time
Had a great stay. Stayed in a twin room/little cabin thing. A welcome relief after the tents from previous places we'd stayed! Had a fridge too which was a nice surprise. YES, you do have to pay for wifi but it is definitely worth it, we had reception everywhere.
Reception staff friendly, tents basic but clean, toilet blocks large, and clean. As has unfortunately been the case at all Plus accommodation the restaurant staff was a MAJOR let down. Rude and slow. At one stage they just stood their talking to each other while several customers waited, we had to ask at least twice when we ordered a drink as the waiter then "forgot". Once we paid the person who took our money took over 20 minutes to bring back the change! This is unacceptable! Plus awful servic
Tent was very basic, but good for the price. Pool was also very good. Wifi kept dropping out, but was available in tents. The biggest let down was the restaurant-staff slow and rude, they took forever when returning change (15-20 mins) and tried to short change us by €10. When confronted about this the staff did not appear even moderately surprised. Also €4 to get the bus into town return plus an additional €2 return for a train connection. Only stay if you are with busabout as they leave at 8
Loved the nice cool sitting area between bar and reception! Welcome relief from the heat.
DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE! Had an absolutely AMAZING stay. Gerhard makes the most amazing dinners, and they're massive! Really good atmosphere and value for money, feel welcome straight away. As I'm sure others have said Gerhard knows your name in no time! Awesome, awesome, place to stay.
I know it's not hot on a regular basis in Vienna but this hostel SERIOUSLY needs some amenities to cope with the heat. A minimum of air conditioning in reception and the bar would be nice. We were here on an uncharacteristically hot day (37 degrees c) and there was NOWHERE to escape the heat. All rooms in the entire hostel were boiling. Went to a nearby bar to cool down-money that would've been spent at the hostel bar if there was air con. Only plus was a small fan in the room.
STAY HERE!!! It was amazing. We booked a double bed private, so cheap and such a good break from dorm rooms. Clean, and staff really nice and friendly! Short walk to the square and the castle. Favourite stay in Europe so far!
The breakfast is NOT worth €5. The cheapest possible versions of cornflakes and chocolate cereal, with disgusting baked beans and pale, gross 'scrambled eggs' do yourself a favour and catch the tram into town-cheaper breakfast and 1000x better quality. Seriously need to look at improving the breakfast it's disgusting. The pool was awesome and the rooms were good, small lockers but ok for valuables, only fit small lock
Had a good stay, good rooms, nice kitchen. Lockers were very narrow. Good atmosphere. Lots of bars nearby in the street for coffee and drinks.
Had a good stay at the City Stay Mitte. Location was good, close to alexanderplatz and a short bus trip to the Brandenburg Gate. We were on the first floor facing the street, and there were people talking very loudly until all hours on the street, however this is not the hotels fault. Lockers were to small for big backpacks but big enough to put valuables in and a day back. Would recommend for a couple of nights stay
Nice place to stay, however if you are physically impaired in any way would not recommend as there are a LOT of stairs. The communal kitchen has a sign saying 'staff cooking dinner between 6.30-8pm on Tuesdays' and the kitchen is closed in this time to guests. This was fine, but we waited until 8, then came down to cook our dinner and the staff were still in there for another HOUR, leaving the kitchen completely closed off to guests. When they did leave, the stove was disgusting. Otherwise good
Had a great stay at the Orchid BnB in Bruges, rooms was spacious and perfectly clean, bathroom shared with another room but not a problem. Also very clean. Hosts were friendly and helpful and it was a nice quiet place to stay. Due to the location hiring a bike is the best way to get around, however it's not a difficult walk into the town centre (under 2kms) would definitely recommend
Had an AWESOME stay here with my partner.
