Where do i start.... When i walked into the lobby to checkout the smell was just disgusting. The rooms are tight, squeaky and uncomfortable with no towel given and tiny blanket. Breakfast was beyond a joke. I got an omelette covered (i mean covered) in OIL with a stale baguette. Staff always looked miserable and everything was untidy. At night it turns into a party place so don't expect sleep here. I moved down the road to Vintage Hostel (same price) which was incredible. Avoid this place.

Friendliest family hostel I've ever stayed at. Tin Tin and his family were so much fun. We hung out at the hostel most of the time just because the atmosphere was really good. Provided us with breakfast (always different) and really cheap drinks. If you ever need something, ask TinTin or the others, they will drive you around upon their recomendation. No pushy tourist travel agent here! They give you the options but don't care at all if you don't book or not. The prices for buses/tours are cheap

Horrible mattresses and disgusting showers. We met no english tourists there, just locals staying here. They had no respect for anybody but themselves. Kept light on until 1am, used a hair dryer in room at 5:30am... for that i would never go back to this hostel. They should have rules in place or teach them some manners. The staff are very accommodating and very helpful. They helped us book accom for Hoi An which was awesome.

Ripped me off with the Visa for Vietnam. Very misleading. Lied and told me its 60USD at the embassy if i go myself when it was only 45USD (no rush). I paid her 65USD for them to do it, thinking it was only $5 more, only to find out how cheap it really was by another backpacker. Then i noticed someone pay 260k (as per price list) for bus to hanoi when i paid 200k after telling her i saw it next door for 180k. The swimming pool is a dump which is 2min walk from the hostel. Avoid!

The hostel is clean. The showers work great, the beds aren't bad and the staff are nice. Bed lockers are horrible - so be careful with your goods. Drink prices are really cheap at the hostel which is good to see. The common area is a good place to meet people while eating the very nice breakfast. Across the road from the famous sakura bar - so perfect location. It is very very loud until about 12:30am -2am every night - don't expect to be in peace and quiet as its a party hostel.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! booked a 4 bed, ended up in 12 bed because overbooked as per other reviews! this happend to nearly every person who came. Terrible wifi that doesn't work. Staff are extremely rude. Broken unsecure lockers. Rooms don't have locked doors. One toilet and shower for whole floor. Lobby is dirty with hard wooden chairs (not a place to meet people). I'd rather sleep on the streets next time. Absolute joke and rip off. Staff tried to take my deposit and argued against it.

Great little hostel in centre of town. Staff were helpful and the rooms were nice and air-conditioned.Toilets smelt horrible though - especially while showering so this was a real put off. Lots of rules and extra charges were a little annoying. Basic breakfast is included in the price. WIFI is nearly not usable as it always drops out or doesn't connect.

The staff are extremely professional. The place is brand new and very well planned out. Free breakfast and coffee/tee (more than enough). Showers are awesome, beds are comfortable and the price isn't too high. The hostel is about 5min walk from the station and really close to good food places. The common area is really easy to meet other like minded travellers as well. Will be back.

The staff make this hostel very enjoyable - like being at home. They're super helpful and always friendly. I asked a million questions and they went out of their way to find every answer. Scooters only 200baht and food is cheap. It does lack a little atmosphere but it's quiet and not too close to the loud nightclubs. You can get a decent nights sleep atleast. Will come back to this hostel in the future. Thanks again for everything!

Was a really good quality hostel - very up to date! I arrived very early in the morning and couldn't checkin until the other people checkout out although the staff did everything they could to accommodate me. I ended up ditching this place for a hotel but did have a nap in the comfortable bed. The location is very hard to get to but its close to the main backpackers area.

Breakfast is average but included. Staff always looked rushed and didn't throw odd a positive vibe at all. Rooms are good, showers are good and food is good. Tours are 200% more expensive than travel agents for the same tours (avoid!) also this Hostel is very loud! People came in drunk for the 5 nights I was there.

Amazing place. Staff (family) would go out of their way to help you! Wifi worked well and the rooms were nice. The 4 bed is wooden beds with good airconditioning. The 12 bed has metal beds with a balcony though. Please be aware there is no lift to the 5th floor! They organised all my tours and transport very well but with a fair but of commission. Came into my room at night with bugs all over my bed and the room dead. Beds are super squeaky and showers are horrible. The building looks like it's a half built run-down squatters house. Nothing special about this place. No security whatsoever and they wanted to keep my passport. Stay at Siem Reap Hostel instead.

200 meters off Pub Street, a 30,000 dollar pool, new garden furniture, chilled bar with cheap drinks, 5 star food, and all for 5 dollars- got to be the best squatters house this side of the North Pole.

Staff were rude and gave no effort in helping me multiple times. Didn't get a map or any instructions about wifi/toilets/showers ect. All 4 toilets were blocked when I arrived where always blocked. Push button showers last like 5 seconds. Only 1 power outlet in a room of 10 and wifi NEVER works, even in the common room. I had to go to a internet Cafe. How is this ranked highly? Worst hostel yet out of the 26+ hostels I've stayed in.

Great hotel with a flawless design. Staff were incredibly helpful. Wifi was sketchy but they had like 12 free computers which was great. They provide free paela at 10pm one night which was very nice! Only thing i didnt like was that the beds squeek and were terrible (always wake everyone up) and Towels and storage arent free. Also some kind of paid breakfast would be good - for convienence. The local staff were unhelpful with tourist info unless it's about their connections. No alcohol or food allowed anywhere - so you had to buy inflated beer prices on rooftop. Airport shuttle is 15€ with them or 10€ two doors down with same compay. This hostel will try make money off everything. Rooms were nice, breakfast ok, showers were hot and rooftop had a good view. A big tip: Sultanahmet = sights/tourist trap restaurants, taksim = pubs/clubs/hotels.

View Property Reply

Please get your facts right. Our airport shuttle is NOT €15- it is €6 to Ataturk airport and €10 to Sabiha airport. Our beer prices are among the cheapest - in bars in Taksim expect to pay nearly double our prices and you certainly can't bring your own beer to those places also. We allow you to bring food into the hostel in certain areas. If you found the local staff unhelpful(????)why not ask our international staff for tourist info. We are not a charity so of course make money.

Rooms don't have an Ensuite like it says. Only one power point in the room. It has good secure Lockers. No breakfast at all. 10min walk to old town but not that close to train station. It's ok but a little overpriced. It does have good wifi in rooms though. €10 for a room key deposit was a surprise.

Greg & Tom Hostel, Krakow, Poland

Please book this! Easily the best Hostel I've stayed in. Free breakfast, dinner and beers at night! Unbelievable staff, very helpful and warming (especially Olga). Hands down best place to meet people, makes Krakow a great experience. This is better than g&t beer Hostel (I went there).

Looks a bit run down but it's cosy and welcoming inside. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast, linen, towels are included. Easy to meet people here! Beds where comfortable but a little squeaky. Could do with more showers/toilets. Would definitely come back! I stayed in 14bed but it was broken up so only 8 in the room :)

The outside of our building is old and unloved, it's true. Come in and see the best part of our hostel.

Euro Youth Hostel, Munich, Germany

6th Sep 2013

This Hostel was a joke from the time I arrived. The girl who checked me in was incredibly rude and had no idea what she was doing. Charged me in aud, when I said euro. Then no directions to the room or around Munich itself. Breakfast not included, towel not included, linen was dirty. The rooms where so hot that three of us didn't get sleep on any of the nights we stayed. It's loud and showers are dirty and not inviting. All the staff were miserable and unhelpful.

Perfect rooms and only a 10min walk into town. Showers were clean, Lockers were great and secure. It was painfully hot at night with no airconditioning. Impossible to meet people at this Hostel, not for solo travellers but overall it's great.

Owner was extremely rude to a bunch of people in the common room about bring loud (at 9pm). The place is like staying in the a construction zone. The building is 15mins from Check-in and looks terrible. The door is a joke, as is most of the place. It should be discounted due to renovations. The owner has put silly signs up everywhere with his rules. Definitely wouldn't stay here again.

Had a great time here. Breakfast was good, bar was unreal at night and it was always staffed. Lockers under bed were safe.. Definitely the best Hostel iv stayed in. Staff didn't show any interest when asking questions and came off as rude. The location is perfect for Amsterdam though.

Try to look more interested in your guests next time. Was a waste of time asking any of the staff for help.

Stayed for 5 nights tue-sun Pros: Staff very welcoming and helpful thoughout the stay. Breakfast was great and the location is perfect. Just 10mins from big ben and 5min from the London eye. Cons: Very very very loud being next to a train station - i can sleep through a bomb but this is a challenge. A bit old, could do with a freshen up. Would definitely stay again for the price.
