Was a really good quality hostel - very up to date! I arrived very early in the morning and couldn't checkin until the other people checkout out although the staff did everything they could to accommodate me. I ended up ditching this place for a hotel but did have a nap in the comfortable bed. The location is very hard to get to but its close to the main backpackers area.

Breakfast is average but included. Staff always looked rushed and didn't throw odd a positive vibe at all. Rooms are good, showers are good and food is good. Tours are 200% more expensive than travel agents for the same tours (avoid!) also this Hostel is very loud! People came in drunk for the 5 nights I was there.

Nice rooms but they are never locked. Staff were ok but had an attitude when checking in. Breakfast was free but basic. Drink prices are overpriced, same with the food. Two doors down beets were half the price - hence nobody being in the bar. Would stay again though.

Staff spoke horrible English which made it impossible to ask questions or book anything. Breakfast was free but really average. Rooms are nice though and central location. It's worth the money but there is better around.

Amazing place. Staff (family) would go out of their way to help you! Wifi worked well and the rooms were nice. The 4 bed is wooden beds with good airconditioning. The 12 bed has metal beds with a balcony though. Please be aware there is no lift to the 5th floor! They organised all my tours and transport very well but with a fair but of commission. Will be coming back here again.

My only problem with this Hostel is the staff spoke horrible English so asking questions were useless. Otherwise the hostel was perfect and brand new. The bar prices weren't worth it, it's half the price everywhere else. The location is a bit far from the backpacker area. Maybe try elsewhere next time.

Great location, reasonable price and good bar area but never busy. The rooms were below standard for any hostel. Had a good time though. The bar is a bit pricey compared to its neighbours.

Came into my room at night with bugs all over my bed and the room dead. Beds are super squeaky and showers are horrible. The building looks like it's a half built run-down squatters house. Nothing special about this place. No security whatsoever and they wanted to keep my passport. Stay at Siem Reap Hostel instead.

200 meters off Pub Street, a 30,000 dollar pool, new garden furniture, chilled bar with cheap drinks, 5 star food, and all for 5 dollars- got to be the best squatters house this side of the North Pole.

Booked the stay 4 and pay 3 but they took my money for all 4 - then ignore emails. When at the bar, the girl working was talking about how excited she was to leave the place. The bar prices are ridiculous and no drinks in room or common area to enjoy you're own wine. Not worth the money.

This hostel is easily my favourite place. Best location. Staff go out of their way to help and socialise with you. Wifi works everywhere. Free computer use. Rooms are huge with your own little private booth for a bed + light/power outler. Key card Lockers under bed. Showers/toilets are amazing! Breakfast is very decent and free. Drinks are cheap. Full kitchen for use. Lots of activities night and day. I stayed extra just to relax. Very good value for money.

Staff were rude and gave no effort in helping me multiple times. Didn't get a map or any instructions about wifi/toilets/showers ect. All 4 toilets were blocked when I arrived where always blocked. Push button showers last like 5 seconds. Only 1 power outlet in a room of 10 and wifi NEVER works, even in the common room. I had to go to a internet Cafe. How is this ranked highly? Worst hostel yet out of the 26+ hostels I've stayed in.

Great hotel with a flawless design. Staff were incredibly helpful. Wifi was sketchy but they had like 12 free computers which was great. They provide free paela at 10pm one night which was very nice! Only thing i didnt like was that the beds squeek and were terrible (always wake everyone up) and Towels and storage arent free. Also some kind of paid breakfast would be good - for convienence. I noticed heaps of groups going through this hostel - harder to meet solo people. Would stay again :)

Rooms were decent, wifi worked, fridge in room, showers were clean, aircon worked, 100m from beach, full kitchen and common area and free maps to use. This hostel is perfect, i have no real complaints at all - apart from the organisation with checkin which was a real hassel and the breakfast isnt worth it - just go next door to supermarket. Would 100% come back to this hostel though in a heart beat. Made some really good friends here!

Great location on main strip. Beds are great with outlets, lights and curtains. Common room/bar was very well layed out. Staff weren't social but helped when asked. My only complaints were one, the kitchen is just a microwave + sink and is always disgusting. Two, when i arrived i was given my room key and not showed anything... i just took the useless french map and went to my room - not even shown the toilets or any facilities.

Perfect location close to train station. Free wifi, single beds, pc use, clean showers but no lockers. Information from staff was very helpful (when you can find her). The white sheets on the bed were beyond disgusting, like they had never been washed. The sheets themselves had stains as well - all beds in the room. No atmosphere at this place, didn't see a single guest while I was there unfortunately. Would stay in same location again.

Checked in at 5pm with an uncleaned room. Staff were OK, but they weren't even on the same level as some rooms are on. No common area so very hard to meet other people. The street its on is terribly unappealing at night. The bathroom was good, the WiFi worked and the beds were OK. It also had good lockers almost big enough for your bag. I don't think ill stay here again based on the location and the fact i didn't meet anyone.

Pros: Great location, free towels, comfortable beds, free computers and easy to get places. Cons: Don't visit the overpriced travel center they own. I asked about where to eat and got no help at all on the local cuisine. No atmosphere at all this time of year but is expected. WiFi wouldn't work in my room so i had to sit on the stairs. Wouldn't stay again, sorry.

Bahaus Hostel

The local staff were unhelpful with tourist info unless it's about their connections. No alcohol or food allowed anywhere - so you had to buy inflated beer prices on rooftop. Airport shuttle is 15€ with them or 10€ two doors down with same compay. This hostel will try make money off everything. Rooms were nice, breakfast ok, showers were hot and rooftop had a good view. A big tip: Sultanahmet = sights/tourist trap restaurants, taksim = pubs/clubs/hotels.

Please get your facts right. Our airport shuttle is NOT €15- it is €6 to Ataturk airport and €10 to Sabiha airport. Our beer prices are among the cheapest - in bars in Taksim expect to pay nearly double our prices and you certainly can't bring your own beer to those places also. We allow you to bring food into the hostel in certain areas. If you found the local staff unhelpful(????)why not ask our international staff for tourist info. We are not a charity so of course make money.

Paid, €5.90 for a mattress on the ground, next to 18 other people. No breakfast included (€3 extra). Common room is a little small. Nini was very friendly, but the guys weren't interested at all. Good location, average wifi (not in rooms), Lockers are a little small, key card entry, linen provided. Not my cup of tea though.

Tame compared to Retox. Perfect location (5 min walk to octagon) Awesome social area and useful kitchen. Definitely worth the money. This Hostel was a joke from the time I arrived. The girl who checked me in was incredibly rude and had no idea what she was doing. Charged me in aud, when I said euro. Then no directions to the room or around Munich itself. Breakfast not included, towel not included, linen was dirty. The rooms where so hot that three of us didn't get sleep on any of the nights we stayed. It's loud and showers are dirty and not inviting. All the staff were miserable and unhelpful.
