This was just a visit between flights. The room was fine, with tv etc. breakfast is very simple - bread and preserves but nothing special. The staff are very good at collecting on transfers and arranging taxis.

The only advantages of this hostel are for the excellent location (on the malecon 2000 and v near 9 de Octubre for shopping) and the lovely helpful staff. I felt the female dorm room was really an extension to the cafe. There wasn't a comfortable area to relax in the evening, and in the morning the staff in the kitchen were easily heard in the bedroom. The dorm is small but has good personal lights and air conditioning.

An excellent hostel, with great staff and an amazing location right in the city centre! Lots of restaurants for all budgets. You have to go to cafe tortoni for coffee, Pizza Guierin, and a milonga at Peru 571 in san telmo (Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays) at 9pm..-tango class and a live tango band!

This hostel was chosen on the basis of reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Yes, it is a little out of town, but I liked it for that. It had a very sociable atmosphere and as I was traveling on my own, that was very welcome. Chino made me very welcome and organized a group of us to go on a tour of the 7 lakes. Lots of advise given, whether you want to go on a tour or do your own thing. Breakfasts are good but useful to supplement the Argentinian carbs with fruit. Buy wine and relax!

I chose this hostel based on the reviews and wasn't disappointed. I met some great people here from all around the world, and the staff helped get a group of us together to hire a car and drive to Punto Tumbo. The group dinners are good value, and there is an excellent pasta / pizza takeaway just two blocks away. If you come on a Sunday evening, do take am evening walk along the seafront to see all the local people drinking mate!

I chose this hostel based on reviews and I wasn't disappointed. I found the female dorm very comfortable and met some great people. Location is excellent in the centre of the city and it's close to snack places, restaurants, bars, theaters etc. The staff are very helpful with tips on places to eat, tours, money changing etc. the breakfast is excellent, and best on the first floor (eggs and fresh orange juice). There is a BBQ on Thursday evenings, which I recommend too!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Princess Maria. It was just out of town sufficiently to be quiet , but close enough to quickly walk in, in the evening! Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and i couldnt fault it. For me it was perfect, and being able to cook in the kitchen and meet other people was great. I would return to stay there! On sunday, there is an all day market nearby, which is excellent for meals!
