Small hostel with a great atmosphere! Pub crawls running on most Friday and Saturday nights, the staff are incredibly friendly, kitchen is well equipped (but no oven), small but cosy common/lounge area (tables, couches, tv, computer, board games, cards etc), cheap alcohol for sale, female and male bathrooms, no powerpoints or reading lights at each bunk (that sucked) and the whole hostel always seemed to be very dark... Need better lighting!

Excellent value for money! Breakfast not included however, yet available at a small cost of 3 euros. About a half an hour walk to the historical centre (Leaning Tower of Pisa) and the same from the train station. No real atmosphere as it was pretty deserted in Winter, however the owner was lovely and the rooms were great!

Much more like a hotel than a hostel, but still with cheap prices! Good location, about a 15 minute walk from the train station. The pool was an excellent bonus! Breakfast was not cheap - 6 euros for a large range of food, however it wasn´t that great... Nice rooms with comfortable beds and heaps of powerpoints. Main light would be turned off from many switches which was kind of cool...

Good hostel (large) with a nice, partyish atmosphere. They even had there own beer pong arena and there were events everynight! Reading lights and powerpoints at each bunk, unisex bathrooms with constant hot water, lollies at reception (highlight) and super fast wifi!! Drinks NOT cheap at the bar though :´(

Unity Traveller Hostel

We were located in the apartment block (a few streets away) rather than the actual hostel - staying in one of the bigger dorms. Had the whole place to ourselves for the first few nights!... Large rooms with comfortable beds, powerpoints at each bunk and a computer to use in the room. Small and rather grungy kitchen, nice enough bathrooms with hot water. Kind of sucked being in the other building though as were were not really able to meet the other guests or experience the hostel atmosphere.

AMAZING hostel, more like a share-house than anything else. Staff were incredible, facilities were great (hot showers most of the time!...), large common area with couches and movies, small but fully equipped kitchen and a homely, fun and cosy atmosphere. Whole hostel went out for dinner most nights and they had an honesty system for the beers in the fridge. Wallie the dog was an added bonus! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back! Free/small cost for ski gear hire too :)

Only stayed one night in transit but definitely had a great atmosphere! Twin room was the same price as the dorm so we stayed there. Big rooms, comfortable beds, large kitchen and HUGE bathroom. A really cute, cosy tavern like hostel, although it did seem to be in the middle of nowwhere...

Greg & Tom Party Hostel

Great party hostel with events and free dinner every night! Unfortunately no options for vegetarians, although the staff did offer to cook us something different! Powerpoint at each bunk as well as a reading light. Incredibly loud each night until about midnight, but quitens after that. Amazing party atmosphere and all staff (& guests at the time) were brilliant! Great, high pressure showers but no laundry facilities. Free breakfast was ample.

Really lovely hostel - small and with a great atmosphere! Facilities were clean and had everything needed, small but fully equipped kitchen, relaxing common area and great staff! No issues with drinking in the common areas either, which was a nice way to get to know other guests. Only let downs were that the bunks were incredibly squeaky, lockers to small for big packs and our dorm was located right outside the kitchen so it was often hard to sleep due to noise! Would easily stay again though!

Nice dorm room, with all bedding and sheets required. Not enough powerpoints! Top bunks very uncomfortable as the roof was at a strange angle causing you to bump your head alot... Great atmosphere though, with a nice bar and facilities :) Only stayed for one night and would probably stay again.

2A Hostel

Berlin, Germany

Great spacious bathroom in the dormitories & very safe locker system. Excellent value for money however it's more like a hotel rather than a hostel and lacks atmosphere... Bar was deserted each night (disastrous for two 18 year olds!) and there were very few opportunities to meet fellow travellers. Kitchen was poor - small & pots and pans were always in use (I.e food was being stored in them) by the long term guests, and oven was out of order. Situated near train station.

The White Tulip Hostel

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Good atmosphere with friendly staff, centrally located and each bed is equipped with a Powerpoint which is handy! The location was a bit too much for us... Being situated at the beginning of the Red Light District meant there was constantly loud music, yelling and screaming which resulted in little sleep... Good for a short stay but not for a longer period of time, mainly due to the noise (we were all for partying, but we also love sleep...) and the incredibly poor/tiny bathroom facilities.

Bahaus Hostel

Fantastic, probably one of the best hostels in Europe. 14 bed dorm room was brilliant - clean, big and w/ a p.point, reading light and privacy curtain with every bunk! Excellent bar/common room with awesome views over the city and the free events/food were great (pub crawl, movie night, soup)! Staff acted as if you were long lost friends, were extremely helpful, funny and would even party with you/play poker in the evenings. Bahre, Océ, Tugay & Tony - you made our stay incredible. We miss you!

Nomads Melbourne

Brilliant! Situated in an excellent location, close to both clubs, pubs and bars as well as the Queen Victorian Markets! Within walking distance (15-20 mins) to the Crown Casino too! Staff are friendly and hilarious - have a mixture of safety and fun as their number one priority! The themed bar nights are fantastic with relatively cheap prices and the actual dorms are basic but good - great value for money. Beds very creaky and location provides for a lot of street noise. But excellent place!
