Good location. For those thinking of sleeping on the terrace: your five euros gets you floorspace and two blankets... one to lie on (makeshift bed) and one for the cold.
The owner is great! He's very friendly and goes out of his way to help you. Thank you so much for your hospitality! There is also a pool, which is nice. However, the hostel is around 6km from the downtown area. There are frequent buses, just something to keep in mind.
Gorgeous. Cute rooms well decorated, great breakfast and a good location.
Great location. Sea views from the dorm terrace and very close to the big sights. Lots of stairs to get up to the dorm though. The bathroom is unfortunate
A few nice touches (the free drive from the bus station, welcome drink) and the view from the balcony was great. All in all, not great though. The room got hot at night and there was no air conditioning or fan. When asking for help with directions I found them to be quite abrupt, and I felt like an inconvenience that was intruding in their family home. Such as when I was eating in the kitchen and the o came in, turned off the light and then left again, all the while muttering in Croatian.
Nice, but lacks hostel atmosphere as the dorm is an apartment, so no contact with anybody outside the dorm room. Very near the main bus station.
Bad hostel. Dingy - there's hardly any light in the dorm room. Grotty- the bathrooms aren't clean. Unreliable reception- he seems to only be there if expecting someone to check in. Smoky - when the owner/manager is there, he sits in the common room on his laptop and smokes nonstop. Location isn't great either.
Nice and clean: the room was cleaned every day (floor washed in bathroom and room). There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms and it was a long walk to the city center.
Loved it, would come back. Only problems: quite far out of Rome and bathrooms were gross.
Near Venice, near a big supermarket and clean. The mosquitoes were a problem, but they sell spray for them. And there aren't many power outlets.
This hostel smelled of cigarette smoke. Breakfast was toast and corn flakes. The bedrooms got quite stuffy. They offered free printing, which was a nice touch.
Great security: lots of lockers and a door code that changes daily. Nice common area. However it is very noisy at night with the creaky floor.
Nice staff, lots of common areas and near the metro station. Area seemed a bit seedy though
In a nice area. There was a big school group of young kids when I was there, I don't know if that's a common thing.
Nice hostel, great location and facilities. Big common areas and kitchen. Lots of people staying there were long-termers (one guy I talked to was staying at the hostel for three months) which changed the atmosphere a bit.
I loved this hostel! The room had its own TV and kitchen, and the location was perfect. Only drawback is that there is no reception... you check in at the bar and they are busy and don't seem to have time to answer questions, give advice etc.
There were more beds in the room than what I paid for. I mentioned it whilst checking out and asked for a discount. The receptionist said that she'd let the manager know and theyd email me. They never did.
Location not great, but near a bus station which was good. The common area was way to small, and 'reception'was a table in the lounge. Not a great atmosphere. Staff weren't particularly helpful, except for one guy who advised me to book online (I showed up without a reservation) otherwise the hostel would charge extra.
