Hostel Uppelink Ghent

Gent, Belgium

Amazing hostel, fantastic from start to end. Perfect location, absolutely loved the building of the hostel. Superb bathroom facilities, very easy to reach from the main train station.

Citotel Trianon

Grenoble, France

A bit outdated. Standard hotel. Stayed in better hostels than this though.

Vertigo Vieux-Port

Marseille, France

Most friendly staff going around, and really helpful. Great spot close to the main port, not a bad stroll down from the train station.

Geneva Hostel

Geneva, Switzerland

Seemed brand new. Really clean and modern. Spacious. Superb facilities. Great spot close to the water. A really good place to stay. Would stay there again.

Youthhostel Bern

Bern, Switzerland

Showers were average, and one toilet for what seemed like the whole building seemed poorly planned. But superb location right on the river and with the swimming pool really close makes it superb. But old building. Ok beds. Standard breakfast included.

Balmers Herberge

Interlaken, Switzerland

Superb hostel. Great wifi. Nice homely feel to it. Great atmosphere with a lot of young travellers. Easy to reach, 5 to 10 minute walk from train stations. Really friendly staff. Great bar and food. Happy hour is superb. Only annoyance was the rooms being locked in the middle of the day for cleaning. Not a major issue. Great place to stay. Would recommend it to anyone.

Youth Hostel Innsbruck

Innsbruck, Austria

A bit of distance from city centre, but easily reached by bus. Tiniest dorms I've seen, actually seen bigger prison cells for one person and they had 6 in the dorm. Poorly maintained bathroom facilities. Horrible check-in times, very bad security around the entrance. Not a very nice hostel. But the city is georgeous.

Nice place very close to the city centre and supermarkets close by. Great wifi. Nice sitting areas for wet days, which I had the whole time of my stay. Great wifi.

Jugendgaestehaus Linz

Linz, Austria

Not very well signed to find. Very old and outdated place. Not much life at all. Really unfriendly check-in times. Room was ok. The lock on the door requiring to be locked every time you went in and out was frustrating. A reasonable walk from the city or bus. Looking for a stopover bed for short stay it would suffice.

Bathroom was a bit old and small. Beds pretty good. Tiny lift that could barely fit a mouse. And being on the 6th floor was a bit hard. Friendly staff. Good wifi.

Five Reasons Hostel

Nuremberg, Germany

One of the best hostels, really spacious dorms, only lacking air con as it was really hot in there. But the showers were possibly the best in any hostel going around. And really good wifi. Great friendly staff.

Five Elements Hostel Leipzig

Leipzig, Germany

Five Elements Hostel Frankfurt

Really good wifi and fantastic showers. Average beds. Red light district made it a little annoying getting through it to the hostel.

Luxembourg City Hostel

Luxembourg City, Luxembourg

Really modern place, standard bunk beds nothing special. Ok bathroom facilities. Nice and close to the city centre.

Great wifi, superb location being really close to the main train station. Really comfy beds, and not bunks but a normal single bed with plenty of space. Top spot to stay.

Li├Ęge Youth Hostel
