Huy Hoang River Hotel

Hoi An, Vietnam

The location and room was good. The view from the balcony was good also. The biggest let down (a similar priced hotel in a similar location offers a great deal more) was with staff not be very welcoming, plumbing in the bathroom, particularly the hand basin was poor and while the bathroom decor was nice it was tired. Breakfast while sufficient was not that well catered for, such things as sugar and condiments were missing from the table. This hotel has a lot of potential waiting to be utilised.

Little Hanoi Hostel

Hanoi, Vietnam

Of all the places we stay on our travels Vietnam is like a college of hospitality of the highest order. Little Hanoi Hostel (number 48 Hang Ga, note the address [not 46]) With Kim and staff are at the top of the industry in Hanoi. The cool drink and great welcome by natural, friendly people is unsurpassed. All requests by us to discover the things to do were met with a perfect balance of cost, comfort and efficiency by the staff. From Sa Pa to Indo-China(Halong Bay) both were as good or better

Vy Khanh Hostel

Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

If you want an unbeatable first impression of Vietnam and you enter via HoChiMinh book into Vy Khanh Guest house. Their motto is "arrive as guests leave as friends". That is so true. Vy has such a friendly approach to everything she does, nothing is too much trouble. We entered Vietnam via HCM and left from there, our first and last impressions of Vy Khanh were a reflection of our whole trip. Absolutely wonderful. I cant say enough, perhaps- hospitality like we have not witnessed anywhere else!
