Really nice, comfortable hostel. Clean and accomodating with TV and DVD in room and a big collection of DVDs which after 11 months travelling is a welcome relaxant. The owners are really lovely, we booked for 2 nights and stayed 5.
A beautifully maintained hostel with pool and comfortable amenities. Victor and his wife Beatic are very accommodating hosts and very enthusiastic. Nice relaxed atmosphere and clean. We were there for New Year and we had a wicked night, bbq at the hostel then hit the town with Victor, Beatic and other guests, lots of fun. Also, Slinky the dog is the best.
Gorgeous bamboo Cabanas with great view of the bay. Owned by Miguel, a lovely man who is always there to help out if requested, he'll show you a good night on the town as well if you're into that. Very accomodationg. We had lots of silly times there over xmas and would definitely return if ever back in Taganga.
Super nice hostel with lovely owner Juan, who is really helpful and friendly. The area is gorgeous, yes it's surrounded by high rises but very nice ones, it's on a little peninsular with beach and sea either side. Very clean, new, spacious, has a good kitchen and is in a very safe area. Loved it
Rooms were fine and location is good, however only 2 showers/toilets for a lot of people and not very welcoming for backpackers - strict rules and clearly very little trust!
Awesome, artsy little hostel with super friendly staff and hammocks to swing in the sunshine!
Nice clean hostel in a good location, best thing about the place is the staff who are super super friendly and really helpful!
Cool building in a good part of town with friendly and chilled out staff, shared bathrooms were pretty bad though - worse for guys.
Huge, lovely house with 2 very welcoming, friendly and really helpful owners. We were made to feel completely at home and it was one of the nicest places we have stayed, home made Feijouda was amazing! We were given lots of info about visiting the falls and transport around the city, the hostel is a little bit out of town but highly recommend staying here if you want somewhere homely and relaxing after long journeys.
Super friendly and helpful staff, we were there in low season and were upgraded to a double room for free! Kitchen could be better but awesome breakfast makes up for it!
If you want to go trekking in Chapada, go and stay here and book Fernando as your guide! The hostel was super chilled out, really welcoming and Fernando and his family were really helpful when we had bank troubles and needed to go to the hospital. Fernando is an amazing and knowledgeable guide, he knows Chapada really well and it was obvious how much he loves the place when we did a 2 day hike to Capao, I highly recommend this if you like trekking - awesome!
Loved this place. Lush staff who were really friendly and welcoming and wrote down loads of extra info for us about places to go in rio when we get there and info about Buzios etc. staff always willing to rustle up a caipirinha whenever required which is always a winner! Big walled garden with hammock and BBQ, nice breakfast provided, very chilled out vibe and close to the beach, easy to get around. We booked in for 2 days and stayed for 7. It's brill.
