Wombats in Munich is a great place to stay. You get a free, spacious locker for free which is great for peace of mind. The beds are really comfy and the dorms are extremely clean. There is a bar, which is a great place to meet the other guests. It's about a 10 minute walk into the centre of town and just a 2 minute walk to the train station. Highly recommended.
Starting with the positive, the dorms are comfortable and this hostel has plenty of facilities (although don't expect to get any of them for free). Unfortunately, there was an incident during my stay and the way it was dealt with by staff was absolutely appalling. I returned on the last night to find I (and all my stuff) had been moved without my knowledge or consent and I was then downgraded to a 12 bed dorm. In credit, I got a full refund but this incident really ruined my stay here.
Zeppelin Hostel is in a great location with an excellent team of staff. The common area is a great opportunity to meet other guests as well. One small negative aspect is the showers, for which you have to continually press the button in order to get a constant stream of water. Also I would say that the paintwork could do with a bit of an update. Otherwise, it's perfectly comfortable and a good place to stay.
I couldn't rate Hobo Bear higher. Every small detail has been thought about, including over the door organisers for each bunk to avoid the dreaded plastic bag rustling in the morning and a nice collection of DVDs for rainy days. Staff are friendly and the hostel is really clean with a great kitchen. A large locker is provided for each guest under the bed, which puts your mind at ease for your valuables. Perfect!
Wombats in Budapest is a great hostel as lots of things have been thought about. There are spacious lockers, it's extremely clean and there are lots of useful things like a launderette and all you can eat breakfast, although you do have to pay a little more for it. One negative aspect is that it's so big that it's difficult to really meet and get to know people, so if that's what you want, then I'd advise to choose elsewhere. Otherwise, a perfect hostel!
t quite simply perfect. The location is great, a two minute walk to the station and 5 minutes to the centre of town. The staff are lovely and go above and beyond the necessary. Free dinner and breakfast was always a treat as well. I would definitely recommend and return to this hostel.
The hostel itself was excellent, very well equipped and clean with friendly staff. It had everything you need for a good stay at the hostel, except that in my opinion it lacked a bit of atmosphere. The common area served as a dining area or a dark room for watching the TV. It would be nice if more was done to make it easier to meet the other guests. Otherwise a great hostel, if you like a more solitary experience.
The hostel has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Berlin. It was clean and each room had lockers (albeit quite small ones) for storing luggage. From my personal perspective, I think that Citystay Mitte lacks a bit of character in that it is so large. I prefer a smaller hostel with the chance to really get to know other guests. This is just a personal opinion though.
