Miami Cairo Hostel, Cairo, Egypt

11th Oct 2017

An excellent and secure place to stay 10mins walk from Cairo (Ramses) train station. Rooms, bathrooms and common areas were very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and always did that little bit extra to make sure I had a pleasant stay. Great overall value. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Grand Hotel, Luxor, Egypt

I stayed in the single room with shared bathroom and although it was basic, for what I paid it was great value and had everything you need. The staff were super friendly and ready to help whenever you needed assistance or information. The West Bank tour was lead by a great guide who made seeing everything easy and enjoyable (Hostel quoted prices didn't include entry to some sites on the tour and lunch which was an additional 90-150EGP). Overall I would definitely stay again without hesitation.

Pyramids Inn Motel, Cairo, Egypt
6.9
2nd Oct 2017

Close to the Pyramids, Friendly staff, and decent value if you're on a budget. The rooftop was run down with broken furniture and not like it had been described or as the photos show. This is a shame because it has a great view of the Pyramids and could be great if a bit of care was taken to clean it up a little. All in all this place is decent value, but I was expecting a little more when I booked.

Great hostel with friendly helpful staff. Rooms were cool and very different to what you usually get in European Hostels, which was a nice change. Bathrooms and the Hostel rooms were very clean and the lockers next to the rooms were handy if you are travelling with valuables. Seemed a little quiet as far as backpacker atmosphere goes, but i was only staying one night so it was hard to really tell. Overall i would recommend highly.

La Banda Rooftop Hostel, Seville, Spain
10.0
24th Aug 2014

La Banda is awesome. I have visited a few times now and wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Seville. The hostel is clean, comfortable and secure which provides the perfect place to socialise, meet people and explore the beautiful city. The rooftop dinners are always tasty (highly recommended) and the bar on the roof in the evenings serves cold drinks at reasonable prices. If you want to make a bunch of new friends and have a great time while doing it then La Banda is for you.

Awesome new hostel located within a 5 min walk to the Old town of San Seb. I have stayed in San Seb for a few summers and this place is the best hostel you will find anywhere in town. Clean, new and comfortable with a great backpacker/traveler vibe if you want to meet people. Ioanna and Gemma are excellent hosts and will help you with any info you need regarding things to do during the day or places to head out to for the night. Will be back again.

Hostel was great with comfortable clean rooms and a nice atmosphere. Its very close to the metro which makes it easy to get out to see different sites in the city. Kitchen was well equipped and handy if you like to prepare your own meals and there were also a lot of places to eat/shop for food nearby. Would definitely stay again.

Lub d Bangkok Siam, Bangkok, Thailand

2nd Aug 2014

I usually stay at Lub'd Silom cause Keith works there and he is the best hostel host in all of Thailand.!!This time however i had to stay at Siam as i booked late and there was no room at Silom. The hostel itself is great, and if you want to shop it is in the perfect location right next to MBK and other Malls, but there was no backpacker atmosphere AT ALL,and the staff were unhelpful and unengaged with the guests which was a massive disappointment.I only stayed 1 night and then went to Silom Lub'd

Lub'd is in a class of its own. I have stayed here a number of times now and have never had more fun anywhere else. The staff (especially Keith...!!!) are helpful and friendly, the facilities are clean and comfortable and it is in a perfect spot that lets you escape or embrace the hectic city which is Bangkok. I have recommended this place to many friends and everyone has nothing but nice things to say. Do yourself a favour and stay here...you won't be dissapointed...!!!

Hi, Thank you very much for taking the time to review our venue - it really helps us to improve on what we do. We were very glad to hear that you enjoyed the friendly and efficient service of our staff and that you appreciated our affordable prices and great value in a very expensive Paris market. If you do have any ideas of what we could do to make things even better specifically on the atmosphere side, we would love to know. Best regards, St-Christopher's Team Paris.

Hostel Freedom is an excellent place to stay when visiting Marrakech. It has everything you need.....friendly staff, great atmosphere for meeting people and a nice free breakfast to start each day. Its only a short walk to the main square and souks, as well as other attractions/places of interest in Marrakech. I stayed here a couple of times during my time in Morocco and would not stay anywhere else.

We had a great stay at So Cheap So Chic. The hostels common areas are huge, and the rooms were very well presented with their own bathrooms. The staff were friendly and the location was great. It was so nice to come back after a hot day exploring Marrakech and have this place to relax in....not really a place for lone travelers as the rooms cater for small groups and couples, but if you fit into either of these categories i wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Dar Bargach is an awesome place to stay in Tangier. After a long day exploring the city and medina it was so nice to have a place like Dar Bargach to come back to each evening. The Melting Pot is a great place to stay if you plan to visit Tarifa. I only stayed one night on my way to Morocco, but found this hostel to be very good. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and they were there to assist with any questions i had (they also booked my ferry ticket for me to cross over to Morocco). The rooftop is a great for hanging out and making new friends, and the beach is an easy 5min walk down the road. Its also very easy to find from the bus station.

Excellent budget hostel close to tube and bike hire..was more like a hotel. Only major downside was the massive amount of kids running around the place being noisy, messy and just a general nuisance.! Seriously there were easily in excess of 100 school kids at the hostel at any one time, and at times it felt like they were taking over the place.!! I would suggest maybe making an area down in the common area just for the kids to hang out, as there were times i couldn't even get a seat at the bar.

Palmers Lodge is an excellent place to stay. The building itself is very well presented and the location is right next to Swiss Cottage tube, making it easy to get around London. The restaurant serves delicious food and the bar is also handy. Bathrooms are clean as are the rooms and common areas. The only downside i can think of is that if you are staying in the larger dorms it can get quite noisy with people coming in/out, making it near impossible to sleep during the day. Otherwise all good.

I had a great time staying at Lybeer. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location is a very short walk to the town centre. There are renovations going on atm, but don't let that put u off. All the rooms available to stay in are very clean and exceptionally well presented (the privates are as good as some very nice hotels i've stayed at). The pod beds were great as well. And the bathrooms clean. If you're going to Brugges this is the place to stay.
