Great inexpensive hotel with a short walk to Kata Beach and many shops and restaurants. Rooms were cleaned daily and stocked with drinking water. Cable TV had tons of channels, which was nice on a rainy day. Restaurant food was fantastic and cheaper than many other places. We rented a motorbike here for 200 baht and drove to Nai Harn Beach, which I highly recommended. Beautiful views and a cool beach with an ocean fed lagoon. Much safer to swim there than Kata Beach in low season.
The room was nice, view was great, and staff were friendly. Bathrooms weren't very clean. Lots of mildew, which would be easy to clean. Roosters are nearby and start crowing about 4:30am. Was super loud so bring ear plugs! Not a bad place but not our favorite either.
Of all my travels around the world, this is my favorite hostel. The owner and staff are as nice as they come. They give great advice for trips and things to do around Chiang Mai and saved us a lot of money. It's a very clean place, even with shared bathrooms. AC worked great. Beds aren't the best but they work. Can easily hear your neighbors but again, it's a hostel. Bring ear plugs. Graden area is beautiful and a very relaxing place to hang or have breakfast. Would love to come back again!
The staff were very helpful and spoke English very well. Having breakfast included was great. They served fresh fruit, coffee or tea and your choice of toast, cereal or yogurt. Pretty quiet place. The room and bathrooms were ok but could have been a little cleaner. They were doing some painting on the exterior of the building so hopefully the interior is next. Very close walking distance to everything and they wrote in Thai where we wanted to go for the taxi drivers for us.
