Always enjoy staying here, staff are friendly and rooms are always clean. Well organised and cheap hostel. Checkout procedure could be faster, and lots of visitors are caught out by having to have cash for the key-card deposit, and by being charged to pay on credit card - Advertise these requirements more?

The Best Inn

Kolkata, India

Nice and Clean but the staff weren't as friendly as elsewhere in India, as when we arrived we checked in with a manager over the phone & a boy showed us to our room. Staff weren’t at hand to offer advice/tips as at other hotels & we had to leave our passport with the staff for an uneasy amount of time for them to be photocopied. Located near a metro station & I would recommend this place if you've visited Kolkata before & don't require interaction with the hotel.

Ganpati Guest House

Varanasi, India

Ganpati was a great guest house, there was lots of other travellers, the staff were very helpful and the location on the Ganges was perfect. It was very difficult to find the guest house in a maze of small alleys and the prior information could have been better. We had a map and had to ask several people on the way. Reception was helpfull at arranging a driver. The rooftop restaurant was enjoyable and the food was nice. I would recommend

Krishna Palace

Jaipur, India

Krishna Palace was a lovely hotel, definitely one of the nicest places we stayed at in India. The manager was very helpful & provided tips & advice on places to visit, & unlike other hotels he was doing this for our benefit, not to get commission for himself. There was building work happening while we stayed, but we wouldn’t have noticed if not told. The hotel is close enough to walk to the train station, & we walked around the neighbourhood at night without concern. I would recommend

Central Hostel

London, England

Room smelt of sewage, there were long-term residents who took up all the storage space. The toilet and showers were not amazing and the hostel was hard to find as its entrance was a basement with little sign-age. Staff were friendly.
