We had a lovely stay in this hostel despite the atmosphere between travellers which was a bit cold. One bad thing though: the bathrooms were not clean enough, nothing you can't survive but still you could say it was dirty.
The location was fantastic and the view always impressive but the hostel itself was somewhat disappointing. We were unlucky in that we were at the hostel at a time when there was a lot of construction work going on. However, there wasn't much to compensate for it. The kitchen lacks equipment and the bathrooms are filthy. Part of the reason for this is that the owner doesn't have a clue what goes on in his hostel nor does he seem to care. Luckily Jody was great company and we got two nights free.

Good place to stay, nice staff but a bit expensive for the service provided.
Nice Staff, nice view if you are in the right room, but the hostel is up the hill in Cork (a big luggage might be difficult to carry up there) Clean and warm :) (private rooms really small though)
