Great safe, secure hostel in the centre of Philly. Staff were really lovely and helpful and provided cool activities like the Ghost Tour of Philly and bar crawls etc. Only criticism was that I paid for and stayed in an all-female dorm and the girl in the bed next to me brought a guy back to the room at 4am which was annoying. Other than that, great facilities and a huge collection of dvds that we made the most of! Thanks for a great stay!
The staff were really nice, although not always around so sometimes it was difficult to find people to ask questions about things. It seemed like it could potentially be a fun place and probably fine in the main building, but we stayed in a smaller building next to the main one, which was really dirty and lots of bugs (as the hostel is in the woods in the middle of nowhere) and it smelt really badly of what we later found out was probably mold. Not the best...
Couldn't fault the hostel if i tried! Amazing location, great atmosphere - loads of really friendly nice people staying there. A huge communal area with sofas, guitars, a kitchen and big dining table, and the staff were amazing and always wanted to chat and hang out. Music is always playing in the communal space which is really cool for the atmosphere and the rooms and bathrooms etc are spotless and very secure. Lockers in the rooms would be good but other than that, perfect. Thanks guys!
Great atmosphere and the staff were all lovely and helpful! Not in the centre of town but only a 10 minute bus journey away, and the communal areas were great, a nice pool outside with patio area and a good sized dining area and kitchen. Also a cool tv room upstairs! Only criticism is that the shower broke while we were there so the whole hostel had to share one bathroom/shower.. but it was a relatively small hostel with great people and we had a lovely time! Definitely recommend it!
Firstly, this is NOT a hostel. We got there, to find ourselves on a residential street, the "hostel" turned out to be a house, no sign saying hostel anywhere, we knocked and were eventually let in. It's basically 1 room in the basement of a woman's house. It's miles outside town, so without a car it's difficult to get around (there is a bus + train to town but takes time). However, the woman's daughter was really nice to us and the room was like a 5 star huge hotel room with netflix and ensuite!
Great location, really friendly staff and very secure rooms. Definitely recommend!
