Location a winner. In heart of montmatre but in a quiet little cul de sac.
Good location. Walking distance to everything including"most beautiful castle in the world". Rooms too dark. Decor moody. Didnt suit quaint exterior.
Reception was hotel bar. Accommodation above bar where loud live music played; awful. Location good near metro and 10 minutes walk into heart of city. Not recommended for anyone over 20.
The owner was charming and made me very welcome. It is like stepping back in time down cobbled lanes and the bright blue door or the hostel opens frromm a cobbled courtyard. Shared bathroom and a reallly bad shower. But good wi fi connection.. quaint area but not soo good for wheeling a bag down the cobbled lanes but only about 300m from the main road.
I ARRIVED WITH A DOSE OF FOOD POISONING AND WAS SICK IN FOYER. STAFF VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KIND.
This hotel is in the heart of old Istanbul and literally around the corner from Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Mind blo wing to be so close to those world icons. Love the cobbled streets, the street life, even a whirling dervish or two. Not to miss if you are into ancient sites, the understated Mosaics Museum, about 20 metres from Nobel Hostel. This 'museum' is in reality onn the site of a Roman Imperial palace and its actual wall and floor mosaics!!
