stuffy and dirty bathrooms , massive overcrowding in room 23 (3metres x 4.m and 10 beds) , No bathroom extractor ,no safe lockers to lock up valuables and a fee of Euros 3.00 for each item you wish them to keep in storage for a few hours. Eating room , kitchen and lounge all in one and a curfew for that room at 12 midnight . No other place other than bed or street. Difference in price for week and weekend is 600% . Rather share a room in a hotel..

Closure of the common area at 10.30 pm is ridiculous . the only other place is the bedroom where there are no chairs . Alternatively sit at a bar . Other than that it is very clean and the staff are friendly and polite .

Totally insufficient ventilation in the 12 bed dorm , stuffy as a sewer pipe. Bed bugs in room 103 , badly bitten . One staff member says its common , he also gets bitten sometimes ( as if to say its normal and why are you complaining). The little hand wash basin in the minute eating room come reception come lounge is totally insufficient for dish washing , no luggage safety storage room . Not worth the money and its a rip-off on the weekend . Break fast is served in 3 shifts , no room.

2 toilets and showers for 50 to 60 people is too little , the bedroom doors have no locks but a key deposit is claimed. The reception has no computer so I was asked to prove that I booked.. Lucky I had a laptop. 4 People in a room of less than 6m square is too congested, possibly against health regulations. This will all hopefully change in the near future since the hostel had just opened but preparation was far from over , more like a carpenters workshop.

There is no ventilation whatsoever for room one and it stinks most of the day .There are locked doors to the outside but no windows to open . Dont health laws require sufficient ventilation . Oxygen is very limited in that room of 6 people and I wake up feeling claustrophobic . I hope you accept this as constructive criticism . Otherwise its a great place and the girls are very helpful . Nice staff , thanks .

Thank you for your feedback! Since you left your comment, we have purchased standing fans for 3 of the 5 rooms that do not have overhead fans installed. By the end of June we will purchase the last two fans needed to ensure that all of our rooms have regularly circulated air. Thanks again for giving us some ideas for improvement and we hope you will stay with us on your next trip to Houston.
